They also look more subtle, I really think the daft sti rear spoiler has had its day.
Yep their marketing is p1ss poor and I'm sure they just sit in a room design a car and then build it without getting any potential customer feedback, I'm not even sure they are aware of who their target market is anymore.

They came out with a great car at exactly the right moment with the Classic but since then they just repeatedly drop the ball, they are like the English football team in that they seem to constantly be able to ****** defeat from the jaws of victory.

Subaru or importers may not want to dilute the STI experience if these cars are anything like the 2009 versions!

So you can't be on a Subaru forum and voice any negative thoughts/comments about Subaru?

That's not really any kind of revelation, who the hell has ever got 27mpg from an STi?

When I bought mine, I joked with the sales guy that the garage should be prosecuted under the trades descriptions act for claiming 25mpg.

Once remapped the consumption is a LOT better, and I am sure many of you know that. And with today's fuel prices begin down, I personaly really don't care that much.

As some said before, I want a car with no buttons, no electronics to "help"me out in corners and any of that crap. I want a car which puts a smile on my face. Try that with the other models. They will be boring and less quality. My personal experience with after sales is also not bad, and I owned
2 Imprezas for over 10 years.

Beginning of the year i did consider to buy the new sti, but it didn't look as the concept car they presented before. In fact very different the you get the ****e engine. So why bother ?! Instead I got a custom built forged engine in my 05 STI and it ha now 400 bhp and lot of torque and I get a big smile every time I drive it. Plus people still turn after the car when they see it!

So, for me, the new one should be similar to the old, no electronics crap, just better and more efficient engines, and better look(admittedly after the hatch this is an improvement )

Subaru did design a good car, but unfortunately its Japanese only, by the time its sold in the UK its lost a good reliable engine(2 litre) with a decent turbo set up(twin scroll) and gained a 2.5(unreliable engine) and a single scroll set up() so Subaru UK turn a good reliable car into a un-reliable car with a engine/turbo set up that most of us dont want here in the UK anymore!!!

So really its not Subaru that we should be blaming, its Subaru UK. What I dont understand is why the new 2015 WRX(2 litre twin scroll, 6 speed gearbox) is not offered in the UK, and the only reason I can think off, is because it would be a better car then the STi, and if Subaru UK got there hands on it, Im sure it would de-tuned/make it worse anyway.

Subaru UK should wake up and realize that we dont want the 2.5 litre engine and to leave the car alone the way it come from Japan, they would sell a lot more cars and probably have the old school enthusiasts take more of a interest in it(but maybe this is what there trying to get away from),

But Subaru UK are stubborn and proves with the warranty claims with the previous models using the 2.5, where they wont admit there is a problem and do the up most to get out of paying for new engines!!!

So as long as Subaru UK keep bringing these new de-tuned, unreliable Impreza STi's out, I wont ever be buying a new Subaru STi. Shame really as I quite like the exterior look of this new one, I just dont like whats underneath it, and I got no faith in Subaru if anything went wrong with it!!
