Pleased I ran into other threads about Cheshire Performance - there are a few threads I found through google. A lot of people having issues - personally I always google a garage first.
I read with interest how many people praise Hurst cars - I am not one of them unfortunately.
After looking for a widetrack STi for a while I decided to get in touch with Hurst cars and they had a 46k mile Widetrack in for strong money and pictures which looked decent. I rang them 3 times to go through the details of the car and confirm its condition - 'it is perfect' & 'you wont be disappointed' was what I was told.
It is a 500 mile round trip for me to drive there to view the car and off I went with insurance quote sorted and deposit in my pocket. My god the car was a dog - rust on the roof, heavy scratches all over, 2 wheels completely corroded, odd tyres on each wheel, headlights weathered, large chip out of rear bumper. I had to walk away from this so called specialist after being told its 9 years old what do I expect!
I did get a text later apologising with a promise of a better widetrack he was getting in next week but after already wasting £55 on diesel a day off work and a few quid on an HPi check I thought better of it.
Sorry for the deviation from the topic, hope you get sorted through the courts. From what you have put you have a strong case and they wont have a leg to stand on. I had similar issues with an Audi and ended up getting full repairs without needing court action.

Just out of curiosity what's with the hostilities? I have simply placed a very open and honest post about a car trader which I was led to believe was very good.
Don't get me wrong there were some cracking motors there however the specific car I went down for was nothing like as described. There was a very nice JDM twin scroll but I wanted a Type UK.
The car in question is no longer on the Hurst site so unless I find the HPi report then I wont have the reg.
This topic is running off course so anyone who wishes to discuss this please PM me rather than ruining this topic.

Come on, he was only saying, Hurst cars isn't perfect as no one is and he was probably just hoping for something a little different/better than what he saw.
Were all capable of building a image in our head then having the unfortunate case of reality not to mention what one person may class as good condition may be anothers not so good.

Yes i suppose, i often share information from SN to try and help others.
Can i ask, if someone was to say that they are going to buy a car from Cheshire Perfromance should i just let them with out telling them to be cautious because I have had no direct dealing with them?
