I took my class 1 to say I could do it not for work to put me on the road tramping.Work did offer to pay for it but then I would be tied to the company for 2yrs and have to do nights out.We have agency drivers in at the minute doing day shifts around Manchester .Id even do shunting to start off with.

Nothing,just saying you'll be doing plenty of reversing,almost as much as going forwards.you must of done some driving before class2 ?

I passed my test in an artic driving an auto.I passed my car test in a manual and my rigid in a manual.Can I drive a manual artic? its something I forgot to ask on test day lol

As has been mentioned, more trucks are going automatic. Now you might only have learnt in an auto truck, but, you can drive a manual provided you have a manual car license.
I think that's a bit daft, what with split ratio gearboxes etc. There'll be a lot of crunching going on.
Congrats on your pass, Rick. I need to do my Class 1. I keep dropping hints at my gaffer, but, he doesn't run any artics any more.
