Yeah you're right, I've got some better tyres on now and I'll experiment with pressures the next time instead of just being stubborn and sticking to 34-35psi.

If my new tyres grip well at 30-32psi would you recommend upping the pressures?

You should drop down to 18-20psi on the new ones. What you want is side wall flex to help grip. Now the issue is these nankangs don't have a great deal of flex but it really does help dropping low.

It tickles me how STi fanboys like you say thomas is credible.

below 12 is an awesome time.
the gtr at the end ran about that.

i wasnt running today but got 12.8 in june [2012]

you need over 400 bhp to get into the 12's in an impreza. [2013]

If it was possible to remove them the same car would win every time and the sport wouldnt exist.

I ran 12.8 with 256 bhp and a passenger so I may take up drag racing
Lol Tubbs often claims (after stating a Newage needs over 400bhp to run 12's) he ran 12.8 with passenger, boot full of tools and stock power levels of 256bhp.

I believe the bit about tools in the car though.

Anyway, just missed out on a trophy!

Why would I need to? I'm not claiming a 10.?? like DaveW. I had loads of mid 12's, on good runs and 13's on shit runs.

I suppose you could say that I backed my 12.5 on the day up.

On average, how many runs do you get at Melbourne these days? 4 or 5?

Days runs.

Might be of interest to someone that;

the 0-60ft of 2.26 got me a 0-60mph of 5.2 secs
the 0-60ft of 1.79 got me a 0-60mph of 3.8 secs

Not sure what Dialin is, I think it's the time you take to stage. Breaking the 1st beam to the second.

So you got 5 runs? That's why Melbourne is shit.

I've got time slips for 18 runs when I did my 12.4s. I could have done loads more had I wanted too, but, I let my car cool down a bit through out the day.

Your wrx isn't standard matt you basically put all sti bits on it.
My sti was all stock and had a passenger.

Just proves how superior the STi Is.

if you read it its basically all waffle, you tube videos and made up comparisons.

when it came to taking it on the track he failed quite badly.

so after numerous pages we have found out the wrx is still slow and to go fast you need an sti.

as he was told on page 1

Agreed, I was just looking for some amusement whilst I am in work lol.

To be fair I also have a WRX - have previously had two Impreza STI's. Though I don't claim mine can / does or ever will run a 10sec. Though at least I've done it right and fitted a 6speed / brembos etc :P

Lol, sorry guys, I've been making the car handle and brake better without using parts that'll darken street lights.

I've promised myself one more mod for acceleration but I'm not yet decided as to what.

Yep, fat-thomas gets 430bhp from a VF35, mickywrx gets 93.3bhp from a decat and RS_Matt gets 2mpg extra from an ARB. SN's hardcore tuners.

I won't even mention the lad who passed me in a traffic jam and told everyone he beat me.
