Just too get back on track......It's no surprise its the non Evo variant of the Lancer that seems to be caught up in this Subaru baiting affair. Proper Lancer Evo drivers wouldn't waste their fuel on such a council estate touring car.

just to add something else I watch a fair few run what you brung days at pod too and its rare to see an impreza below 11 secs, the only sub ten second cars I have ever seen are stripped out high power cars on Hoosier drag tyres.

I had a non evo lancer for a while as you know, maybe I should have spent my time hunting wrxs, but to be fair it was a faster car and that's not fishing for bites.

Just 40k, I did that in my first one in 18 months back in 2003 (when fuel was 60 ish p a litre)

At the end of the day no car will live with a well ridden modern sports bike, sorry but if you don't accept that you have no idea what bikes are capable of or are just too blinkered to understand facts!
The subarus that have been mentioned that I referred to one at least was lighter than the GT2 and with out going back and checking, I think both were.

I can see how it looked but you're quite right, cars can not "live" with bikes.

There are however exceptions, and in the case of the two subarus that have been mentioned above they may just stay with a bike, beating a bike on the other hand is something different.

I should also point out, it you have ever tried to get the full potential out of a superbike, and I have it's not easy, not one bit.

Exceptions to the rules, thats all.

Did you show him this because as a biker myself if I had gone up against this then it would have stayed with me, the video I posted was a edited version, the full version shows a very good rider (a professional racer) on a bike more powerful than most superbikes trying hard to get a good start and on alot of occasions failing.

This crap always makes me laugh as most bikes are rode by midlife crisis men who if pushed on a bumpy road would bottle in seconds and as for the 1/4 mile stuff I have been to a few straighliner events with bikes and its suprisingly how slow the big bikes are with your usual riders behind the bars

It has been done to death that bikes are faster that cars but when powerful cars do out run bikes all the idiots come out spouting it can't be so .

Cars do beat bikes and bikes do beat cars it's why people buy them. Just don't spout the manufacturers power figures for each thinking that is the end of it.

No one mentioned a standing start but you seemed to drag another thing into it as do most haters, I know mine will do 0-60 in under 3 seconds if if I can get the traction and I know it will do 0-100 in the 5 second mark but not with my gear changes.

Just accept that some bikes can be caught off guard and left by some cars

Aye, because they're sh1te.

I can confirm that Steve's car is fecking rapid. It was quick going up to Andy F's, and ballistic coming back. 2 bar + big turbo + methanol makes things interesting.

I do like bikes but don't ride myself . But have been on the back of a quick one . That was it for me . Bikes are not for me but then that's why we are all diff.
But I do like seeing a bike going for it and always give them room on the road as I no they are quicker then me .

Xline, not allowing for torque as that makes a huge difference on acceleration in cars but I think mine is something like 520bhp per tonne. Not the quickest I know but how many bikes are over that as it can't be many?

Pure science and weight will dictate how quick each can be, obviously a bike will leave a normal Impreza but it went from that to just bikes always win and there isn't that many huge powered bikes out there as compared to just fast bikes

It moved up a little bit more after you were in it as the new injectors went in it and it was mapped to 2.3bar .

It was running the 2.3 bar when it was on the 22b team for TOTB when it smashed the gearbox.

2.3 bar nice . I bet it pins you to your seat all the way up the gears .

It can put a smile on your face but it's easy to accelerate the problem comes when you need to brake. If I was on the road and decided to overtake 5 cars on a country/ single lane road I would have to start braking after I had passed the second car so I could pull in safely

The car is off the road as the last three events I have been to it has broken something, big power breaks things a lot. The last time I had the car on an airfield it did 169mph gps and that was with 555bhp. I would expect the car to do that in a standing km now and probs top out at 186mph due to the gearing but what damage it would do to the car if you pushed the top speed for a tiny bit would be quite damaging IMHO.

your car is only 1s slower to 100 than an F1 car and faster than a Veyron?

It's sound like u have a nice car there . Have u been building it for a long time.
555bhp is a lot of power . I take my hat of to u . My cosworth was running 480bhp. But that was a long time ago .
Am going to get my Subaru up to 300bhp then that will do .
You said you was in the 22b team . Now that must of been fun times .

I don't have many vids but this one always makes me laugh. I was at crail and I was on my normal road tyres and I could not get any traction so I had to pull off slowly then put my foot down.

The car videoing was a glanza and the lad said it was 250bhp so when I was talking to him in the queue he knew he wasn't going to do well but he insisted he had never been beaten on the day.

It was that bad for grip even the Wallace evo wad averaging 11.5sec 1/4 mile times and that has over 800bhp.

This is on bike footage of a Fireblade, and as you can see you have to wring its neck to get it to move. You'll notice that the other bike is the Ducati.

Here is some on bike footage on the Ducati and just listen to the difference of the engine and the way it rides.

These are both batsh1t fast but in completely different ways.
Them bikes are flying . Wow . Like I said bikes are not for me I don't think I could ride that fast . Things just fly by , & I would be always thinking what if . What if a car pulls out what if , or has my bottle gone . Lol.
Nice bit of riding . Still want to see your car go . Do u have it on utube .
