Does the idiots in silly cars ever stop?

So just now, on a 5 or so mile drive, I had a standard (non evo) Lancer, a Polo and an Escort all driving up my arse! Only had the WRX a few weeks and it seems to happening a lot. Is this going to be a normal occurance now that I drive an Impreza?

fat-thomas 27 September 2014 04:47 PM

here we go again......

fat-thomas 27 September 2014 04:49 PM

its always a lancer but a non evo one too

second post ...

Ahh, I see. I wasn't moaning. I was just asking as it's never happened in any other car I've had and I've never felt the urge to do it myself.
Now I know.

I have to admit I like winding Impreza and Evo owners up when I'm in my van :D I can still push it in the corners so I like to have fun and mine is a high top traffic :D

As long as you give it a good go, then can't complain. It's when they just drive up my arse and that's it. Can't see the point.
Down a gear a away it goes.

jaygsi 27 September 2014 05:29 PM

I told you the lancers are after use, not just me then

Haha, seemingly so.

RS_Matt 27 September 2014 05:38 PM

I wind all motorists up driving at the most efficient speeds. Truckers hate having to move into the middle lane to overtake Imps.

I've had one years and its never happened to me and I have an sti in wr blue with gold wheels!!!!

donny andi 27 September 2014 07:45 PM

Never attracted muppets in any of mine , the worse culprits was other subaru's .

The worst car that attracted the divs on a daily basis was when I had the escort cosworth

mind you he has got a wrx, probably fair game for saxos and yaris's. similar performance:lol1:

XDevil666 27 September 2014 08:07 PM

I seem to get people hanging back more than trying to push me to be honest

Maybe it's because mine back fires and howls (VF22) they don't know what it's running or something

But it's a rare thing if someone is reving behind me

Mind you I'm one of these get to the speed limit as quick as I can type drivers, so maybe they do, just never notice

My work car though, that thing is constantly been pushed and over taken in :(

Carnut 27 September 2014 08:15 PM

It doesn't matter what you drive, their are knobs everywhere.

Added: Statement of fact (10 people in the car park), "they are" all doing something, and that is looking at the cars that belong to them.

:notworthy a bit more help from you and I will be able to get a job at McDonald's. :D

I knew in the back of my mind it was wrong but the stupid is stong in me.

I might even see how I'd fare at keeping up but I don't think for one second that my car is better, but I'd like to see the difference :D

Obviously as the 911 driver, this would piss you off if this happens all the time, but don't think that everyone behind you actually thinks they're quicker ;)

Subarus ARE faster than 911s though, Subarus are the fastest cars in the whole world. :D

according to every new wrx owner judging by these threads, sadly times have overtaken the impreza now and its just a poorly equipped moderately quick jap sh1t box owned by chavs for ten minutes until they realise how crap on fuel they are.

joe v3sti 27 September 2014 08:49 PM

I know you were pal, I was just pulling your leg :)

There's a whole other 20% though. And that 20% can be surprising and unexpected :)

i certainly do and years and years later still love the way they drive, i dont however feel the need to claim every mitsubishi (non evo ) wants to race me and everything from a saxo to a ferrari sits on my bumper as this has never happened to me and id estimate ive done 40k plus in an impreza throughout the years.

Unless you drive a lorry, you don't realise what a pain in the arse a car doing 55 ish mph is. Do yourself a favour, pass your hgv and become a better driver!
