Seriously though they just aren't practical, Unless its small+slim (which isn't fashionable at the mo, I know ), available with a full stainless steel case and strap (or titanium). Otherwise it isn't practical for a daily work watch due to the enviroment I work in...I've melted G-shocks, so a smart watch doesn't have a prayer.

For out of work, I prefer something a bit more classy - which I had a retro 80's Omega and 1960's Breitling for...Emphasis on the "had" as they were stolen Hoping to replace them with a 1960-70's Oyster Perpetual/Precision once the insurance is sorted.

Now, a credit card phone on the otherhand....like what Samsung used to make, that would be a interesting prospect for me

So the iphone is just a revision, and the watch, not sure what to make of it. Comparisons with existing watches arn't very flattering.

All in all apple seem to be struggling to make anything ground breaking

Hmmm.....it wasnt even the first of the current style of phones.!

It's a case of the Emperor's New Clothes. People will 'buy' any **** if there's enough hype and oohing & aahing.

Hmmm...

After finding the 5S boarderline of being too big (better balanced than the old 4s though), I was looking at the Sony Z3 Compact. Figured I'd wait for Apple day first before making a decision though.

My 5s still astonishes me. The M chip has been great, I can honestly say it's added years to my life, I could have said that about any health tracker but I didn't want a separate device. Odd that the 64 has gone.

Well I am good at predicting the future. Apple have followed the mainstream with larger phones and phablets. Introduced a companion watch like the majority of others

Added NF communication like everyone else has had for years.

Nothing of worthwhile note, apple obviously absent with battery life and memory specs.

Macrumors are generally negative especially the companion watch.

bloody isheep fools i love the way that they've introduced the larger screens on the iphone although don't count on getting the plus as they've had manufacturing issues getting the batteries to fit and also to even work But i also love the fact that with all that extra screen estate you still wont be able to customise your home screen, for things such like the number of icons you can see horizontally and vertically amongst many other customisations you can do with an Android replacement launcher

Oooh its got NFC! game changing about 4yrs ago

But they don't, isheep by Apple prodicts because they're Apple products. Whether they fit 20 apps on the screen or 20,000. It doesn't matter.

Besides, any right minded person would realise smart phones these days are all much of a muchness. You pays your money, you takes your choice.

It might not matter to you, but it does matter to me.

If you use your mind and imagination on an Android device you can setup the phone exactly how you want it to be. There is no right way or wrong way to do it, but i love the fact that I HAVE THE CHOICE to either have a minimalistic homescreen one day or as many homescreen(s) as I wish full of icons and folders on another, so i can access every single feature that i need in a second.

You can't do that on any apple device.

In response to waterproof status at present the reply was:
They're all water-resistant. Sport models have a tougher metal enclosure (I think) intended to resist scratches.

Any of them will work in rain, washing hands, etc. No swimming, bathing or showering though.

That's a shame the S5 can be taken swimming and its not even waterproofed, just water resistant.

Personally I'd rather have a phone that does what I want it to do with no hassle and the iPhone does that. All the htc one (that I've had for the last 12 months) does is annoy me.

I have just seen the size of the smaller iphone and its only 5mm smaller than the S5, that's a big phone so just imagine how big the other version will be.

The companion watch has now been reported to have a battery life of about a day. Pathetic considering my Omate runs two days, is a fully independent mobile telephone with gps mapping.

No surprise, Apple have always struggled with battery performance. The 4s/5s are shocking.

You can just hear it now

"What's the time"

"Mmmmm time I charge this fvcking thing up"

Every time an iPhone user comes to our house the first thing they ask is

"Have you got a charger, my iPhone is running low"

Oh the cutting sarcasm open your eyes, the free launchers for Android devices have a whole load of other customisation features available, what i was on about is just one of those otions you isheep can only dream about. e.g. Gestures from the homescreen to open apps, so useful, custom animations, view homescreen in landscape, change the icon set completely etc etc.

Such a shame you haters can't enjoy Apple products.

I love the Samsung advert, all proud about using a bigger number first. Apple made their own Gold, that's full on witchcraft in Wales. I consider that a bit more worthy of applause than +1.
