You're good at missing the point, Chris.
This thread is about a car part, most likely something that is rare, and if it was available from the dealers, then it would be prohibitively expensive.
Not about buying a TV.
For something like you mentioned, I would do the same though. Somethings you cant go to a shop for though. Take this thread for example: https://www.scoobynet.com/styling-36...l#post11488332
How does the chap go to a retail outlet for something that has been discontinued for some time now? He's going to have to take a punt on the second hand market.

Anyway, looks like this thread echoes a few we've had, and every new reader of suchlike at least gets warned of some of the dangers.
Just to keep an even keel though it's been just over a month. KM could have been going away and didn't do it the week before he went (as he should have imo), then went on hols for 2 weeks or so and is now thinking 'I've got that part to sort out and send' the week after he returns.
Imo op's right to be concerned but I'd give it a week or so more (some take a month's hol) before saying '**** !'.

Agree with you. The hard part is sorting the wheat from the chaff.
I sold a set of OZ PWRC-1's a while back, on here. Asked the guy to either pay as gift or pay the fees on Paypal. He paid it as a gift.
He got his wheels 2 days later on a pre 9am delivery service.

Those I've seen are sensible/level-headed.
I'd say he was on a winner - and clearly he was.
