Cheers Micky, as it happens I got some of that from the local hardware shop as a back up and did some tests with it too. It held very well.

The other one I tested was a 5 minute Epoxy I had lying around. I bought it from B and Q a few months ago to try and repair a wood carving but it was didn't do the job then or this time either.

It says it dries rock hard in 5 minutes. It was still soft 48 hours later and was no better than blutak in terms of its adhesive properties
