Yep you did drop to 10300 , tbh your car is worth what it is but as a toy I'm not going over 10k.
There's plenty on here that will side you saying it's worth 12 but finding people with it ready to go are getting few and far between now.
It's your car buddy you sell to whoever

Is that the deposit you were waiting to come through electronically, in the end?

Or is it from someone (lucky sod) completely different?

Sorry jake but I think you've gone from a very exclusive club to run of the mill.

I predict some regret in your near future.

I'm just sad I couldn't buy it.

I hope you enjoy the new car.

It'll be closer to £15k if their previous mark ups are anything to go by.

Its a k04 turbo, its the s3 engine so different to a normal gti engine

the engine stage one will do 300-310bhp, stage two about 340 and stage 3 about 360

so there a very tunable car,

tbh the cupra i had has the s3 brakes and s3 ali wishbones that the golf doesnt, the golf is a nice car inside so its trade offs more than anything

i knew if i got another leon it would have to be the same spec as the last, which is very hard to find, plus ive always liked the ed30

Ah yes the s3 does 300+ on stage 1.
Are you sure it's a different engine? As I thought they are same engine just different turbo kit on them.
Does the normal gti have a k03 then? And a tfsi engine?

Cheers.
The audi dynamik uses the same engine and turbo aswell then as that's 310hp on stage 1.
But all the other inferior audis get 265hp on the tfsi engine on stage 1 (211hp stock), but when I read into the power, all the other audis need to get the 300/310 hp is a ko4 kit that can be bought from a tuner hence I thought it was the same engine/block as the tfsi internals can take good bhp (me thinking all tfsi engines are same with different turbo kits as long as it's a 2.0)
Engine code dosent tell you it's a stronger block just different set up in different marques I belive.
Where did you confirm that the 2.0 tfsi engines are different, I.e 'stronger' internals?

you'll have to do a bit of digging on the forums

when you look back at the 1.8t engine out of the golf, you can bolt the ko4 s3 turbo and minifold/exhaust and injectors to it, but there different internally again.

just need to search on audi sport, seatcupra.net and on mk5golf gti forum

I had, and the '2.0'engine tfsi/tsi are all the same (they made the 1st tfsi in early 08 it think and then the tsi which is practically the tfsi in 2009 iirc which may of had a better set up than the earlier ones, to which you maybe thinking?) just with different turbo kits.
My guess is that your edition 30 has a k04 turbo and vw had tuned it just below the s3 (sales/marketing rights for s3 sales, hence they had the r32 and now golfR for bigger power as stock for the other market)

Don't understand why people are finding it so hard to believe that the engines are different. This is taken from Mk5Golfgti.co.uk

Differences between the Volkswagen Golf GTI Engine and the Volkswagen Golf Edition 30 and Pirelli Engine.

Larger Turbo from S3 (K04) rather then the K03 on the GTI
87°C thermostat instead of 80°C
Larger capacity fuel injectors (13% higher flow)
Larger intercooler (smaller then the S3) (* danishmkvgti - states that std GTI and ED30 IC are the same size)
Engine block main bearing caps, pedestals are reinforced
Conrods have larger rod bolts and new bearings
Pistons have 21mm gudgeon pins instead of 19mm
Piston top ring is improved
Recirculation Valve (blow off valve) not located on turbo
The Audi S3 and the Edition 30/Pirelli/Seat Leon Cupra R share the same short block, same turbo and similar intercooler.

And can be found here for anybody that's interested

Thanks,
And it's not 'people' it's ME that's questioning it. Not to catch him out or anything. It's just I have intrest in it myself as I have a audi with the 2.0tfsi engine and genuinely interested.
I did some research on tuning etc and the tuners like revo and apr state for upgrading my engine to a hp that's given for the s3's and alike, will need a k04 kit. Nothing about injectors, fuel pump. And max safe power on stock internals is 400lbs tourque with supporting mods. (Hence my questions).
Maybe the edition 30 and s3's etc will be able to take more tourque on stock internals?

I have seen a few threads (not just on here) of people doubting that there are differences, wasn't just aimed at you, although I can see why you thought it was

Don't see why they would make more torque, would the different compression ratios affect that at all?

I seem to remember discussing Audi's with you before, if you have a B8 A4 Avant?

I know the standard engine will do 500bhp without worry.

The ed30 I'm buying also has the s3 intercooler fitted

I've got an intake for it and the cars already stage one. Which is enough for what it is.

I'd of loved a Sprint blue s3 but my budget wouldn't stretch to it. Sadly lol.

Cool.
Yes I have a b8 avant.
I wasn't sure of, if it was because the tfsi engine were started from 2004-2009 in the mk5 golf I think. And I have a 2010 engine made me think maybe it's the newer engine (hence being able to take a bit of tourque on stock internals 400 I've read, and in my position I would need a k04 kit to achieve stage 3+ power?)
Apparently I have a small turbo but stock it make 211hp 258lbs and a stage 1 would see it around 250-270hp and that's probably maxed turbo.

Don't know why all the different specs on the tfsi engines in other marques, I bet the mk6 don't have all these 'extra' talk in the pub parts fitted due to eu emissions etc, or do they?
Well that's another story we'll leave to the vw forums shall we

What's 500 hp in torque?

In fwd, that's just madness with all these stages 1,2,3 lol.
Are they drivable as these levels of power that's their capable of
