Of course the mk6 special editions have a better engines. It's a detuned R engine, predictably.

If you're in or around the London area speak to Garage Midnight about tfsi engines. He has a mk5 running 550bhp as a track car and is still fwd. Although he's now converting it to 4wd

Lol^^^
4wd FTW.

Although I do like the edition 30 better than the gti (the wheels make a huge diffrence to looks)
Now I know all this info on the mk5 golf, if I was in the market for one I'd defiantly go with ed30.

Stage one map will be a good increase. Enough for a daily driver. After that it's a big cost.

Turbo back exhaust. Intake system. Fuel pumps etc. Gets to the point were the money isn't worth the gains.

A good stage one off the likes of revo, Apr, shark performance, etc will be a good increase

They handle really well , put the power down well
I'd not revo as if your battery dies you need to get set up again
I've forgot the name of a better chip map but look on mk5golf gti. Com
Lots of mods for them and the eddy tunes up very well.
Just got rid of one 3 month ago

I take it you are keeping the ebay advert as security in case it doesn't go? I'm surprised they haven't asked you to remove it to cover their mark up. Just in case you had forgotten!

Anyone know unicorn motor developments Stockport?
As rick is supposed to be good on the vags, custom maps them rather than revo type files.

None taken and I don't blame you particularly as it took a while for the deposit to come through

Just making sure you had forgotten.

It's on ph too lol

I've had about 4 calls 3pm and a couple of txt about the car since Friday. Which is slightly annoying lol

But they were first to put a deposit on it. I'm hoping they will rock up before Friday and pay.

Deposits are non refundable Jake, Its to cover you for holding the car & potentialy loosing a sale from someone else.

If you put a deposit down on one of their cars then didnt want it do you think they would give it back!

Exactly, what if someone came to you and offered you an extra grand? A deposit freezes any other offers. I guarantee they wouldn't give you it back if it was the other way around so why should you be any different.

Personally, I would sell to the first person that actually turns up with the money if I were you Jake.

A deposit is only a sign of intent as far as i'm concerned and shows me that they are at least serious but £200 is **** all, they'd have to give me a grand to actually refuse anyone elses money especially since we're talking a £10k+ car.

Lol if a deposits been taken why is everyone talking about selling it on the company/individual that has left the deposit?

Surely give them a chance to collect before all this neg talk of sell it to someone else etc etc

Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself!

Hmm !!!

My only worry is the lack of communication, I seem to be having to chase them for any input.
