I'll have to take some revised pics of the front end later on today, thanks Daz yes the front end looks a lot better with the fog lamps fitted.

I've ordered something totally pointless as it does nothing for the car really, other than remove the ugly looking SI mode ****.

I ordered mine from Scoobyclinic, about the same price as ordering from the USA but without the nasty taxes and duty which will be levied.

I doubt it as they're part of the SI mode switch assembly, but worth checking out as I'll have a look into.

Yeah, they might be designed to simply unclip from their housing in some way. If so, then there might well be some aftermarket black replacements available(?)..

Thanks Geraint, I also like your Perrin belt and radiator panels as well, although I don't know whether to go with red or black.

Well things are moving along nicely with the plans for the next round of modifications to the car, the Prodrive GT2 wheels are at present having a colour change plus the STi accessory front grille and rear hatchback waist level spoiler are being painted ready for fitment next week.

STi Grille Surround

Rear Hatchback Waist Level Spoiler

Prodrive GT2 Wheels

So the plan next weekend is to fit the wheels along with new tyres, front grille panel, Subimods Hella horn fitment kit along with Supertone horns, Revolution rear silencer and mid section, genuine Subaru exhaust trim, STi R205 rear bumper lower diffuser, STi R205 black wing badges plus the Rally Armor OE mudflaps.

Plus this arrived today (thanks Geraint) and I really like it, may not be to everyone's taste but it is a genuine STi accessory.

Plus hopefully fit the drivers side rear inner USDM lamp to remove the horrible red rear triangle in the existing rear lamp plus apply the red rear tinting films to remove the Lexarse look of the rear lamps.

What is it? I'm guessing a novelty battery clamp (obviously in the style of an OEM STi strut brace)?

Yes it is an STi battery clamp, albeit in the style of the STi flexible strut brace.

Flexible?! What's that about then? (Talking about the actual strut brace, not battery clamp).

The centre section can flex slightly (not too much though), it was an innovation from STi for their 20th anniversary.

Doesn't that somewhat defeat the whole point of a strutbrace's M.O.

A couple of quick update pics now they've been painted.

There's nothing quite like the look of freshly painted goodies.

Gets my vote.

Mine too, but hardly a fair comparison.

Well today as I was in Bridgend I called into Godspeed to pick up some new grooved front brake discs, Performance Friction brake pads and a litre of brake fluid.

Yesterday I ordered some 245/35/19 tyres to go onto my Prodrive GT2 wheels and this afternoon I ordered a set of McGard STi black wheel nuts from Keith Price Garages, if anyone else wants a set I might be able to negotiate a better price.

The bigger the order the more discount we can get, I have ordered 2 sets (one for me and one for Geraint) but a bigger order means more discount. I know a few have liked mine and have talked about wanting to buy some so now is your chance.

Tomorrow I should be picking up a set of rear axle anti-tramp Whiteline bushes from Indigo-GT, they are supposed to stop the slightly loose feeling that the rear axle can give due to the really soft factory bushes.

Well there are now 2 sets left of wheel nuts left in stock at Keith Price, I picked up 3 sets this afternoon for Geraint, Craig and myself.

These really are the best wheel nuts available and at a cracking price as well, I don't know if the price can be repeated so best get a set while they have some left in stock.

That's ok, we all benefitted and got some top quality kit at a knockdown price.
