Fed on a diet of Hamas propaganda, which they teach in schools and show on kids TV would the outcome be different?

 

OK here is a solution for you. For Israel to destroy Hamas's strength they would need to undermine it's power on the civilian population of Gaza. How do they do that? They give the Palestinians more than Hamas can therefore stopping the reliance on Hamas funded infrastructure projects.

The only way for Israel to beat Hamas is to take away their strength. Unfortunately for Israel they will never see this and their only viewpoint is to destroy Gaza until there is no where for Hamas to hide.

You can't beat a terrorist organisation in war, they will never go away. The only way to beat them is to take away what feeds them and that is their public support. You have to undermine their support.

 

It's a fact that Hamas are undermining their own cause by their actions but as Anonomous states for the Palestinians they are the only game in town. Regarding the clip you've posted here's what the journalist herself had to say.

Don’t use me as your propaganda weapon

I spent a night at the Shifa hospital in Gaza two weeks ago. I was covering the situation in Gaza for my newspaper.

My story was about the Palestinian civilians who were victims of war. My article started with a story of four little boys who were killed on the beach the same day. They were playing on the beach when Israeli army hit them without any clear reason or warning. I interviewed a boy who survived from the attack. The Shifa hospital was full of women and children who were victims of this ugly war. I described their stories in detail.

During the night someone launched a rocket somewhere behind the hospital. Now this sentence from my article is spreading in the pro-Israeli medias. I mentioned this in my article because I’m a professional journalist. I try to cover the events truthfully as I see them and I strongly condemn these kind of actions.

But I find it very disgusting how this one sentence was taken out context to be used as an excuse to target civilians in Gaza. My story became quickly a tool of propaganda. The people sharing this story are not even trying to understand the situation as a whole. They are just looking for excuses to Israeli actions in Gaza.

I refuse to be part of this kind of propaganda

Why doesn't the situation regarding Israel's blockades of goods entering Gaza feature more in peace talks this time around? Surely these could be supervised by an independent third party to prevent military equipment getting into Gaza and taking a sensible view of "dual use" goods like cement for example. I don't understand why there is such a shortage of medical equipment as this is allowed through? Is if lack of funds? UK alone have given £13m to help, where is that money spent?

And the reality is that one of the blockades' aims is to prevent rockets getting to Gaza has failed spectacularly.

The news reports tonight made pretty sombre/depressing viewing. The injured 13 year old boy asking for his 10 year old Brother and no one had yet told him his Brother had been killed And this happened with another UN compound being shelled where they were buying sweets.

That's not propaganda, that's innocent children's lives being taken and those who survived their lives ruined where they should have been safe.

At what point is the UN going to pull it's finger out if it's ar$e, grow a pair and stand up to Israel and the unrelenting US support and start imposing hard line sanctions against Israel.

Every day my contempt for Israel grows so how the people who are going through it deal with it I just can't imagine.

Give it a few weeks and Israel will only have he 'West Bank' to worry about. What we are actually witnessing is one country taking over the land of another. Nothing less.

As awful as it is, you could talk any conflict and personalise victims in this way and get everyone emotional. It only seems to happen when Israel is doing the killing though.

Both Gaza and the West Bank already have plenty of illegal Israeli settlements. For this reason, I don't think Israel have any intention of ever pulling out of these illegally occupied territories and will continue to build more settlements.

 

some settlements are filled with people who have zero connection with Israel - i.e. their fathers, fathers father (and beyond) never set foot in the place before these settlement where built to accommodate them - "Living Room"

they are then filled with Russians and assorted Eastern Europeans - in fact the road signs, shops etc are all in Russian, must be galling for the Palestinians who had lived there for centuries

 

Isreal should take back the land they have given and wipe gaza out once and for all.

Israel are perfectly within their right to defend themselves. I'm not too sure though how killing thousands of civillians counts as defending itself.
