F1 - where is the thread?
All's not lost obviously...
Nico just needs one more bad race (realistically, a DNF you'd have to think) and Lewis a win, then if they keep trading 1sts and 2nds up till and including the penultimate race, Lewis could well find himself in a position where he's still no more than the current 14pts behind... And with the last race being double points (i.e. a 14pt difference between 1st and 2nd), then it could end up being a nail biting finale! Then if Lewis was to win and Nico second, I assume a tied-on-points championship gets decided by races won? Or is the WC simply shared?
But, of course, the odds are in favour of Nico now. Who knows though; Lewis might get on one of his inspired runs again, win a few in a row (luck dependent
) and smash it outta the ballpark lol.
Lots of ifs and buts, though...

Then we have a four week break during which Nico's confidence and calm will just increase while Lewis sits there frustrated and unable to do anything.
When they come back Nico can just drive for second and rely on Lewi's temperament to cause him further issues which sadly it will.
It's a shame, but that's motor racing and hats off to Nico as he has driven and is driving brilliantly!
At the moment Nico is the complete package, quick, intelligent, calm and mature.
Lewis on the other hand is also quick but shows his immaturity and lack of calm when things don't go how he'd like them to.
Until he can manage his behaviour in and out of the car Nico will always have the edge over him.

This season Hamilton has been far more mature than in the past and even today was talking about how he can make the best of yet another reliability issue.
FWIW I think eventually he will suffer because of the way he lets things get to him, but so far this season he has been pretty much a model professional.
Yes Rosberg has been a picture of calmness and focus himself, but that's a lot easier when for much of the time the luck is with you.
I can't really see how Lewis' maturity has held him back, he's had several reliability issues with the car whereas Nico has had far less.
Lewis has won more races with 2 DNF's, and was faster than Nico on his home track.

Not at the time maybe, but subsequently he has changed his mind presumably after watching Coulthard's piece on it. He said so in the pre-show coverage of the Canadian GP.
The more I watch F1 the more I dislike Hamilton.
He ignore messages from his pit lane, constantly complains. And is never happy.
How miserable was he on the podium, most drivers would have been over the moon with a drive like that.. Pit lane to podium...
And that haircut... Earrings and that ridiculous cap
I've got to the point of willing his car to fail

I don't especially like what I know of Alonso, but I enjoy watching him drive which is why he is on my TV. I certainly don't feel a need to comment on his haircut or wish his car to fail. Maybe you should stick to football where stupid opinions are the norm
