Today yes, he beat the rest of his competitors months ago.
Mind you if Nico hadn't been a bit naughty a couple of times this season Lewis would have had this wrapped up at least two races ago. So thank you Nico for keeping it entertaining.

Makes you think... It could've easily been Lewis' car that suffered the problem.
But 'at least' the bad luck was shared more evenly between them over the season, by it being Nico's. (I'm sure Lewis would think so). Sad for Nico, obviously.
But yeah, it was a shame we were denied a potential nailbiter.
(Also happy that the ridiculous double points didn't factor).

There was no way Hamilton and Rosberg could of had a fight BETWEEN each other on track for the championship. If they were next to each other in terms of position Hamilton was going to win.
For Rosberg to have won the Williams pair getting stuck in or Hamilton having big problems was the only chance Rosberg could of had, since neither happened Rosberg going out was irrelevant to the championship.

I'm not sure what chance there was of a "proper" race. Lewis was in 1st before the first corner and the only way we could of had a fight was if the Williams pair, or one of, got in the mix so would have been a Hamilton Williams fight, not Hamilton Rosberg.

what F1 champion doesn't have the fastest car on the grid?
Vettel had it for 4 yrs.
Button had it with Brawn.
wait a cotton pickin minute Lewis won in 2008 in not the fastest car on the grid

I said it was shame it wasn't a proper race between them meaning as in the race not the championship. As they were 1-2 at half distance it would have been good to see if Nico could have closed down the gap at all. I guess this thread would have been a whole lot different if Lewis' car had failed
On the subject of Rosberg, do we think he will ever fight for a championship again? I would of thought that he will still have one of the best cars next year but if the Williams and Redbull etc catch up (i reckon they will) Rosberg setting his car up for qualifying and hoping to stay out front won't do it next season. If Rosberg had focused his setup on his race i doubt he would of had half as many poles and still lost big time to Hamilton.
Just think back to when Rosberg was teammates with Schumacher, he would always qualify much better than his race pace. Hamilton on the other hand qualifies at a similar standard to his race pace.

Although he fits the dictionary definition, i feel he requires to consistently perform over the coming seasons as he has this season to be mentioned in the same breath as Senna, Fangio etc.
He seems to have got control of his emotions (in the most part) which has proved crucial this season. Hamilton of 2009,10,11 would not have won the Championship this year with all the set backs he's had.

Because a Brit won something. I've noticed this a lot, any Brit who wins something is instantly branded a 'legend'. Personally i feel it's a massively over used term.
Of course Nico going out was relevant, he was around 150bhp down from half race distance. A fact which killed any chance he had of making a come back later on in the race and given the pace Massa found, it wouldn't have been impossible.

Stirling Moss is a legend and never won it at all.
Lewis is one of those rare breed of driver who can do things with a racing car others can not. It's not so much about championships and wins in terms of numbers, but the way in which he win.
Schumacher had it, Alonso has it, Senna had it, Lewis has it! Button, Webber etc, are very very good, but lack that little bit of magic where they can get consistent results in a car that is not the cream of the crop!

I appreciate at the time Rosberg had to keep pushing and had Massa passed Hamilton than Rosbergs issues would then have been relevant but that didn't happen so irrelevant.

But why is it that people come on a f1 thread to try and kick it down? I don't go on threads of sports i don't like and talk shìt so not sure of the thought process.

His only failing is like Schumacher he tends to be vulnerable under intense pressure as in Brazil.... although he was perfect in the race yesterday!
