Wayne rooney is a fat, talentless waste of space and roy needs to grow a pair and drop the ****.

I dont get why these managers suck him off so much, hes played mediocre football since 2004 (for england) and thats it, id rather see andy caroll there than that saggy faced bagpuss in fact i think id rather have heskey

Italy played well there danger men all performed on the night and after the equaliser England looked a bit flat in the second half, but I am still pleased with there footballing display and effortbut I have to echo the above Rooney comments even though he made a good run and pass of the ball for the Sturridge goal he was flat footed and for all the hype that he is always getting frankly he was not good enough on the night compared to the Italian top hitters,if they lose one more time that's the World Cup over for England,it could be already.SJ.

He shouldn't even been in S.A. campaign imo

Having said that it was an awesome cross he made , even I could have scored on the end of that

He's done more already than the whole last campaign

World cup was over for England before it started, they're crap simples, second rate squad and a second rate manager, was a time when the bars over here in Croatia would have been crowded for England Italy match, barely anyone even watching last night in my local. I watched the last 20 mins ever so slightly and didn't see anything to convince me they have a hope in hell.

The small amount I did watch was typical England, pass the ball around at the back a bit then run out of ideas hoof it forward and give away possession, yep that'll get them to the last 4 not.

England many times have been glorified to much, and certain players.
Think the only reason is so much hype about England being in these events,is because the world knows the supporters will spend money, good for business etc.

There's always going to be a certain amount of hype about England because 1, the game started here, and 2, the Premiership still rates among the elite club championships anywhere in the world (look at how much money it attracts, and how many players from other countries' national squads play there).

IMO he just has a chunky face, but his body is not fat.

I don't know much about football, but I occasionally catch the glimpses of the matches on TV, like last night after midnight. Manager was sticking up for him for sure, but the nice guy Shearer on Lineker's panel was quite truthful about the overall standard of the game last night as well as about Rooney's performance.

I think two underage looking boys i.e. Sterling and Sturridge are the ones with some hope. Rest look a bit too old to run about tbh.

I think if someone promised Rooney a night with a local prossie for every goal he scored we would see some results

Age is immaterial if your name is Pirlo! He strolled through the match, probably didn't need a shower at full time.

1. It was nice to see a brave, attacking dislpay for a change.
2. I don't think Rooney enjoys playing for England.
3. Phil Neville is a crap commentator.

C'mon England..............
