Law of (misfortune-based) averages at play.

'Justice' for Lewis, at last.

We hope. Alonso is quick, and the safety car won't help Lewis.

Looks like Ham was dictating the pace and looking after his car (quite rightly so) before the SC.

As he's now over 7s ahead already... Killing it. As Andy Murray might say: "Let's do this!"

Will his SSs last?

Whatever, he's got to come in for the mandatory S tyre. They reckon he needed at least 27 secs gap to stay ahead after the PS...

Well hopefully that shows how he is maturing. It was tense enough watching from home but you could hear he was nervous over the team radio. He and his team played it brilliantly.

Well f**k me, did he swap cars with Rosberg without anyone noticing?

What a turn up! Not the best way to get the lead of the championship, but fair enough given all he reliability issues he has suffered.

Well welll well.....all those people that were writing Hamilton off there is nothing wrong as far as I can see to be positive, now come on, no more doom and gloom, COME ON HAMILTON.

p.s nothing wrong with how he won the race and got the lead in the championship, lets face it, he was on pole and got a good start then ran a good race.

Reset back to zero (well almost).
Neither Lewis nor Nico has won at Suzuka so that will be interesting, assuming either or both finish of course.
Double points in the last race could be crucial if end of season reliability issues become more frequent.

One of the best looking events on the calendar. Stunning.

Anyone understand why the Williams mechanic got angry with one of the wheel change guys? Couldn't fathom that.

Still don't get it really, it's all down to your mechanics and luck

And if you're first on the grid you'll probably win, how is that interesting

That's probably a bit harsh but I can understand your view point, it takes a lot of commitment and understanding of what is going on to really appreciate and if you only give it a bit of your time you will get back nothing.

Also alot of people IMO see the sport as a singular persons battle for the championship, ie "down to the mechanics" . I personally view it as a team sport and think it should be down to the mechanics for a good part, it's a sport that thrives on cutting edge technology and everyone unboxing the same car at the start of the season would be.....well crap, it's more that every team has its star player.

It isn't especially with the Mercedes being that much quicker.

Tbh a lot of the interest in F1 (for me at least) is in the engineering, problem is the FIA stamp on any innovation quite rapidly these days. Although I must say the Mercedes turbo arrangement is very clever.

Crazy to hear that Rosberg's Wiring loom was damaged, not sure how you do that on an F1 car?
