Ty, how did you get in touch with them? As I've filled in a car order form (quote) and also sent an email enquiry and not heard nothing back?

Have a look via legacy forums or google, but basically you want the tbsti as it's jdm 2.0 twins roll found in spec c, and also better running gear.
The only other option is the gt spec b, which has a twin scroll 2 litre but no other features like 6 speed, Brembos, etc. look at the both like a WRX and sti

This is perfect apart from colour http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car...agon/15007937/
Can anybody explain what FOB price means?
The Legacy is prettier but having talked to someone on here who has owned both a FSTi and a Legacy tuned by STi, the FSTi is the better driver's car.

The Legacy is more of a tourer/long distance hauler and is less involving to drive.

Here you go, he doesn't push himself onto others, word of mouth and recommendation is enough for him to keep busy.

The prefacelift has one badge on the rear I belive, the quad pipes is a giveaway.
Hence I like the facelift better as it has all the new bits
Yeah a bit crap the ts not having Brembos

I prefer the look of the tbsti, and it will be the family/daily car so don't need it to be too much driver focused.
Not keen on the looks of the fsti, a bit of a marmite car, oh and it's a 2.5

Well good luck, Tom is a nice guy and I am sure if he can help you out he will.

I know that Maz has met him, plus Banny I think as well as Maz saw my S202 driving around the mean streets of Dewsbury before I picked the car up.

Was your prefaclift 5 speed? As I think only 6 speed came in the facelift ones.
I'm looking at them and it's showing f5 on 2004/05 and f6 on 2006/07 along with AT or FA which I'm presuming they are both autos.

If anyone knows the exact meaning to these, please confirm as I know the facelift autos have proper paddleshift instead of buttons on wheel.
F5
F6
AT
FA

Yes I know they are quiet rare but some go through auctions.

I think I've found out that the prefaclift manuals are 5 speed boxes and then 6 speed in the facelift.

Is there 2 types of autos? Or is because the diffrence in paddles hence 1 code is AT and other is FA

Funny enough we talked about you

Well let's just say depending on auction end prices it maybe doable compared to japan forecourt prices of £12k upwards

Does anybody know what a 2006/07 facelift TBSTI with a 6 speed box, si-drive, Brembos etc would be worth in uk?
Just to get an idea.

Also ty, just to confirm as Tom said 'I thnk'
To import the costs would be-
£600 for fob
£600 for delivery fees
30% (20% & 10%) import and vat fees
£?? IVA test if upto 10 years old otherwise regular mot

Is the uk light conversion included in IVA test?
What about kmph to mph dash conversion?
Anything else I've forgot?

Ill map and delimit myself.

Sorry just getting all info possible so I'm not lost in all the process.
Thanks in advance

I only know of one over here and Immy had it for sale a few years back, so would be quite a rare beast. I wouldn't want to pay more then £13,000 for it personally.

Thats the point I really don't think the sti is worth it financially if you think about the resell figures however if you really want one then go for it for yourself and not the next owner.

I know lol.
The tbsti come with a 6 speed, sti wishbones and links, braces, Brembos, sti seats, memory seats, enkeis, sti springs, sti wheel, different turbo, different tmic, front and rear lip, quad exhaust just to name a few that I can think of.

To me it's worth a better premium than above, but not sure how much more as there's non in uk to compare.
I wonder how much the one in post #1 went for?

I don't want it for resell figure but it would help in my decision if I'm honest as I don't want to pay over the odds for one.
The tbsti are up for £12k upwards on japan forecourts and that's without fees for bringing to uk, so that's around £15-16k landed otr.
But I've worked out a better/cheaper cost via auctions with Tom depending on auction end price which is more appealing.
Still need to think about it much more, other wise I'll just keep the audi.

Just to add, when I was looking into these I heard from 2 reliable sources that the tmic on the standard spec b was a little on the small size for mapping for much more power. I would pay somewhere around £ 14000 or a bit more for a post 06 spec b, low mileage.

Ask me Ty. Don't forget I had a manual WR LTD Spec B GT Twin Scroll like this one.

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...dition/1911671

Then again stick with the S202 (for now).

Correct the tmic and turbo are different.

Oh and the tbsti has wider front wings.

Don't forget that VAT and import duty is added to the total (means car's price + fob + delivery fees) so a £12k car would end up at £17k minimum OTR in UK.

That was an example if bought off the forecourt which I'm not. Auctions is where I'll save and make it more worth while £12-13k otr

2? I'm only looking a 1 model tbsti, there is the prefaclift but I'm not interested in that one.

Give me 2 ticks
