Funny that all these German manufacturers are doing similar things - we all have different driving "modes" all have rather tuned exhausts, etc.

Mine has a louder exhaust in Sport and Sport+, the steering weights up and the throttle response sharpens. Sport+ is a right laugh as it turns off DSC but switches on DTC making the car feel positively naughty.

That Merc badge is indeed HUGE!

Comedy error yesterday; left the rear window a tiny bit open, in crawled a snail and covered ALL the headlining in slime. Luckily it comes off easily!

Used the folding seats for the first time this morning (to return a cot); massive load space. I love these slightly loony hatches - practical but also bl00dy quick!

One A series oddity - the tiny rear wiper that clears an area about the size of a postage stamp! Rear vis doesn't look great in them.

The Merc badge has to be that large to hide the radar sensor behind it.
Totally agree about the rear wiper, its a waste of time and money. I went for the rear camera because of the poor view.

I've now gone over the 1,000 mile mark on my A45 and the exhaust note definitely changes tone exactly on cue. Even in Comfort mode it now splutters on the overrun. Comfort mode also sound like a pulse engine when poodling about at 1500 rpm.

yes also agree on the rear wiper although it does do what it needs to, I didn't get the Cam, but ive always had massive cars so its easy this little thing, I also noticed the parking sensors do make a noise but only when mega close, they really need a new mechanism looks archaic....

Im on 600 Butty got Banbury to do Weds and back so I should hit that magical number soon, I did try manual sunday, and forgot hit limiter haha, was fun though also learned if you do manual whilst in comfort but then hold right paddle it reverts back to comfort, nice instead of kick down...

Eww slugs lol

weird thing is rebellion now have a throttle remap that does what yours does Matt, and its what the SI drive used to do in the scoobydoo, but im not bothering cars fast enough.

Once warranty is up ill have a mess about...

Does comfort mode give you a softer ride ie does it have adaptive suspension?

Ha - the rev limiter trick. Done that quite a few times now when in sport and I want comfort. A double tap is too fast for the box to sense and it only moves in to manual.

Chris - there is no adaptive suspension. Sports mode seems to sharpen the throttle, allow full boost, change the steering feel, switch some of the safety features off and alter Haldex settings.

I saw one of these for the first time on the road yesterday in black. It really did look good and had the rear spoiler too. It also had some red lining detail in the grill when I overtook it and looked in my rear mirror...

TBH adaptive in the M135i didn't impress me and it's yet another button to press when driving your car. It also seems to be responsible for a very common knocking sound issue.

The A45 NOT having it is a plus point in my eyes! I'm sure they are all very different but they just seem like tech for techs sake. Also very hard to mod the suspension if you want to.

Very good Urban, mpg is proving very good at the moment, if imtake it easy. Took kids to zoo this week and got a steady 36mpg or 110'mile on quarter of a tank , as long as I don't hammer it it's great... I've passed the magical 1000 mark. but as of yet have not done a launch.
Air con is best I've had it takes Hardly anytime at all to cool the car down, I know cars small but seems very good to me.

harmon Kardon stereo has to me started to excel itself, I was a bit on the fence with it as it didn't wow me when I first got in, but now I've altered the settings and I like stuff quite loud the bass is amazing, fills the car and very deep and lush.

Had a few races with punks who try it on, guy in th new focus ST I over took him and as he started to try I could see his car try, but is just crushed him, passed him enough to pull in and leave him in my fumes. And he was at full tilt.

Get lots of positive comments about the red, lots of people either pointing or flashing lights at me, quite a head turner.

Only annoying part I suppose is a lot of pikey chavs, seem to gloat which worried me when with the kids, always trying to get me to race in ther corsas etc.

Had an issue with DAB where reception was crap, but now I've locked the station into the system and not on free roam, it seems to have fixed it. I will be having them look after my hols, as well as check if any ecu and TCU updates have come out.

It's going to the detailers today for polish Angel cosmic 9hr although my mates recommended gTechniq I fancy cosmic...

The cars very fast , takes some winding up but once in that zone man it's quick, it drives like my old type r get in the vTech zone and your away, the reamsp make it come in lower, but I'm loving the way it works now.... Just need to learn to use it

Very good.
I'd suggest removal of some of those extra badges might put the chavs at arms length?

Red does indeed look good

No have you?, I think I remember seeing somebody say engineers mode, but I just switch it off.. I also find in traffic it'll do it but only for so long, then Eco turns yellow and it stays on, must because of heat....

I also keep burning my head with pano roof, must rem suntan cream lol

As far as I know you can't, well you certainly can't with my wifes A200.
And stop/start isn't that bad once you actually get used to the fact that your car stalls when you come to a rest at a junction.

Isn't eco mode a bad thing for turbo life especially on a hard long run, stop and then the engine stops/restarts?

Yeah, but its not just as clear cut as that.
There will be 'safety' measures built in.
