Right. It's kicked off between Netherlands and Costa Rica. Let's see if the goalies are wearing ridiculously high socks or what.
I think the CRC goalie is wearing tights!

He does wear them too bleddy high although he has stopped two goal efforts from NED. Good show from Peter Pan.

Umana from CRC just got booked. I'm afraid the situations like that are inevitable in Football, and he didn't mean to cause a trip.

What a long match! I'm not sure why NED replaced slim shady for a new goalie, but no hard feelings, I suppose. I feel for CRC. They played their butts off but none of them cried on the pitch. Peter Pan was quite comical with his break dance for penalty shoot defending. His socks will be missed. It was a very good match but no big victory for NED imo. It never is when your opponent gives you as tough as it gets, and when you have to resort to penalty shoots to win them.

So, who's gonna win Tennis today? I reckon Djokovic will kick Head & Shoulder's butt.

Novak is trying his best with his runabout but Roger is making him realise with his leisurely walk non the park and killer serves who the daddy is. Let's see what happens.

I thought Novak would win this in straight sets, Roger is one tough opponent.

Sorry, I got Novak's name spelling wrong. Yeah, Federer is just so neat and fluidly authoritative with his game!

Victoria Beckham is trying to look interested. Imagine her in the Lawn Tennis court. I can't. Only with a ping pong tick tocker in Table Tennis, if that.

Hamilton has just won at Silverstone. Not an F1 fan but good to see a Brit (or two) in there.

Not keen on car races here either, but excellent news for Britain.

I have to say that it's nothing as exciting without our Andy Murray. Not because he's British, but his temper make his matches quite thrilling. These two are just too chilled. Novak sometimes shows a bit of passion, but the intensity is nowhere as entertaining as our Murray's. Murray keeps his spectators on the edge.

Don't care if it's tiddlywinks, good to see a Brit doing well.

Used to be the same with the likes of McEnroe, good to see some passion.

Deffo.

I went out and watched the recorded match later. It has just finished for me, and I'm thrilled to see Novak taking the trophy away this time. He's a brilliant player. Federer is certainly superior with his game, but this Serbian guy truly deserved what he had been sweating rivers for; for a long time. Congratulations to him.

Very tough match indeed. He was accurate in his post honours interview with thanking Federer for letting him win it. Federer remains the king of effortless, clean and chilled Tennis.

It was a cracking final with a worthy winner and a classy loser.

I daresay he can afford just about anything he fancies but a title win is not one of them.

If he can afford to buy Head and Shoulders shampoo to shine his hair, he can afford anything.

He also had too many racquets. He can afford a lot of them.

How he can afford to be so calm is something to about. He has amazingly serene temperament.
