To say the birthrate is dropping in Pakistan, globalisation is tightening it's grip and Westernised Birth-control practice is being getting accepted: The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan reported 943 women died in so-called honour killings in 2011

That represented an increase of more than 100 from 2010.

I believe the more Westernised Islam becomes the more regressed Islamists become, in 1 last desperate bid to protect traditions. This is probably why we are seeing uprising and revolt in several Islamic countries/regions.

Believe it or not those true to the Koran's fundamental teachings should not consume, sell or share Chocolate as it's not healthy.

Religion is very selective/contradictory now and it's hard to watch aspects of it impact on life so negatively.

Acid attacks against women are also sadly on the up in Pakistan. Valarie Khan, Chairperson of Acid Survivors Foundation:

"There are 200 attacks a year," she says, with reports [of such incidents] increasing.

Pig is not considered a food and food not hurting is also different from eating sacrificed food that is forbidden in Christianity. Pork and Sacrificed meat will have been seen as stone, inedible. Islam is similar with saying a blessing over foods making it clean - BUT ONLY LAWFUL FOODS!!! Not carrion, pork or foods sacrificed to other idols etc.

Pork isn't forbidden in mainstream Christianity, Matt. If you want to believe it is, that's entirely up to you.

TBH there are many passages linking the Pig to demons.

Mark 5:12
The demons begged Jesus, "Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them."

Jesus may have declared everything good, but away from that which is evil.

Many Christian factions deny pork. The New Testament never directly declares pork as holy, but rather God refers to as an abomination and therefore not sanctified. God has never declared something an abomination then changed his mind, he is perfect and without recant.

I don't give 2 frigs tbh, I'm just highlighting the inconsistencies, different teachings/understandings and contradictions in religion and the futility in enforcing religiously prepared foods.

If individuals don't eat certain foods because of their religions or beliefs then I'm afraid that's their loss. I love pork

People can have simple belief in anything they want and that is the problem - simple evidence less belief

Most religions, prophets, scholars speak disparagingly of the Pig.

The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth. It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate. In America, most people consume pork. Many times after dance parties, they have swapping of wives; i.e. many say “you sleep with my wife and I will sleep with your wife.” If you eat pigs then you behave like pigs.
Poor swines!

And now Chocolate has been bundled in with it.

What's the difference between the mainstream and sit- on-the-fence Christian? That she doesn't go to the church on Saturday morning, I mean on a perfectly good shopping day?

Save for minority faiths in the UK we are Christians, atheist is just a disconnection from the spiritual side, and these basic Christian rules define just how much we participate in our religion.

Most of us abide by 4-6 of these, devout Christians 7-10. 1-3 and I wouldn't want you as a friend.

Couple this in with the participation in Xmas, Easter, the hopeful desire for heaven and blasphemy and it's hard to denounce your way of life.
