Just a thought, as i though v5 and v6 models were all colour coded standard, or was it just v6 models. Either way it will look amazing if you did.
Do you not think the new owner might get a little upset if some guy turned up and started spray painting his car...?

It is very nice indeed and a rare sight to see a Turbo 2000 kept original. I have no idea why someone would suggest colour coding the skirts and mirrors when it looks fantastic as it is. Original and clean on these cars is the new "mod." From what I've read, there was a dealer option for the V6's to have the skirts, mirrors and rear spats colour coded. I have noticed though and no offence intended, that some people mod and spray things just for the sake of it. You can clearly see how good this car looks straight from the factory but when you compare it to all those heavily modified and chavved up examples, there is no comparison when it comes to deciding which one looks better.

Value wise, a clean original example will hold its value a lot better than something that's been messed with. Even if you change the stero, wheels, or spray a few things here and there, it won't make it worth more, if anything it'll decrease the value of the car.

Anyway, I've sold it now but the new owner will keep it original and he is thrilled to have it back in his possession .

Depends really on your taste. Some people prefer colour coded.

I have sold a couple of classics and the ones that looked the most original sold for the least. Maybe in 7 years time it might be a different story. But depends what the original owner prefers, as everyone keeps telling me its a car to be driven not stored in a garage waiting for the price to go up.
