99 fuel only unless remapped to suit The ecu has a bit more leeway than most though ive ran mine on 95 when there has been nothing else but i havent given it stick with that in it!
I was just having the same thought, to £20 of tesco 99 at 133.9p/l I did just over 125 miles.... It was a mixture of driving but quite alot of beans were given across the moors....
I just worked out, that was 38.07mpg....!
Well, that shell looks perfect for you to put your mark on and make a track toy...!

What about tax 6/12 months (not that I will need it).

Looks okay, but id be worried about how the thing is set up, i see no RRFPR or FPR to control the fuelling above 1 bar.... Or no uprated fuel pump...
So it seems a little suspect to me!
Drivers seat is knackered too, but the GT seats are alot better than glanza seats, you might not even need to rpelace them for proper buckets

I would also mention that stainless steel manifolds are no good for starlet, you will want that replacing with a mild steel manifold as the stainless ones fail regularly.
There is no mention of fuelling upgrades or a proper set up for that turbo either, so I would be mindful of this, you would want to see a 225lph pump installed or as per good old toyota, a supra pump which is more reliable than the walboro etc, and a FPR with FCD or a piggy back ecu.
If it ihas been ran at one bar, it MIGHT have a JAM racing or ZEP ecu in it, which although not programmed for this, and is not able to be set up for it, can be sold for about £450, that would explain why it doesnt have the FCD etc. So you would make some money back on it.
I wouldnt mention it to the owner, AFAIK it is behind the glove box

With the celica calipers, which ones are best to get like the 1/2 or 4 pots? Am i right to think that I need to get the brakes from a ST165/180 or 205?

The brakes are from a Celica ST165, you can fit the 4 pots, but they need alot of work, the 2 pots are the ones you want.
You are only stopping a small car, you dont need alot of force to stop it, it is just the heat dissapation that you are getting with the larger disc area

Leave the rears as is. All the weight is frontwards so you dont need alot of stopping power on the rear at all
The problem with the standard set up is the heat build up in the small calipers and discs very quickly causes brake fade under track conditions, and on the road if you are driving it properly (i boiled my brakes again twice this morning after I decided it was nice weather again so i might go and enjoy it) so the upgrade is not so much for clamping force(braking force) it is all about dissipating the heat contained within the disc and caliper, the celica caliper is much wider meaning a wider disc with more air drawn through the centre
This is nothing like tuning an impreza, you are doing it the reverse way I have, I went form this to my impreza and nothing made sense, you are doing the opposite lol.
What you have to remember, is it is 800kg, with all the weight been at the front. It is the same as the mini boys, they put front discs on, but leave the rears as drum brakes

What do you recommend for discs and pads, drilled/grooved or neither?
Sorry for all the questions but it is nice to have the support and not negativity most of the time this forum is prone to

Id just go for standard non drilled/grooved, although grooved might make a small difference on track. You will need to get the Astra discs drilled to suit the starlet bolt patter 4x100, but its no major thing, ill PM you a link in a bit if the train to stoke on trent has wifi on it as Im off to pick up my new van etc

Well, I knew i forgot to update this thread! Sorry ill find the link tomorrow, just had al ittle off with it this afternoon, overtaking some idiot doing 30 in a 60 who when I am just about to pull in stamps on the accelerator and blocks me out.
I have 2 options, foot down and try cut infront, or brake and hope to get in behind....
Either way, ended up carrying too much speed into the corner and rapidly running out of room sandwiched between two cars just glanced off a raised kerb and broke the wishbone. Luckily i got the guys plates who ran me off the road so the local Popo will be paying him a visit for dangerous driving and leaving the scene of an accident
Got a witness in the Mrs who was in the car, and the old mans girlfriend was 3 cars behind me and saw it all. Looks like minor damage, im just upset because my wheel is very expensive

I hope it gets solved mate with minimal issues and hopefully the person will be a bit more understanding.
Also, what car were you in?

I hate when stuff like this happens as most of the time the issue only gets slightly resolved but with along with a load of stress as well!
I hope it gets solved mate with minimal issues and hopefully the person will be a bit more understanding.

Ive got it up on the ramp now, it looks like a minor off the balljoint, brake disc and wheel took all of the impact.
I had a new balljoint in stock, so that is now on, so I could put it on the ramp.
So I need a new brake disc, wheel, ARB droplink, and a heatsheild.
So a major off like this has cost me les than £150 to fix and it would have been back on the road this afternoon if I had the parts, what other car can you virtually rebuild the front suspension on in less than a day and for as little money?
Luckily my track experience helped me controlling it as the cambe ron the road could have easily seen me on the roof!
I thought I got the plate but I seem to have got it down wrong so it looks like the **** will get away with it
