Sneaky preview of the inlet manifold, massive thanks to Tim @ tweaks developments for this one...
Early RA manifold old flange removed...

Hole made for front entry conversion...

Old inlet all welded back up...

New Cnc cut flange welded to the front completing the conversion...

And then it was off to the power coaters, opted for oem wrinkle but in black and here's a sneaky preview of finished item...

Had a few hours cleaning and stripping the new engine this weekend...
Manifold removed....

Then stripped...

Injectors rails stripped ready for powder coating...

Cross over pipe cleaned and painted...

Sytec fuel pressure reg was looking tired so some new paint for that too...

Loads of other bits stripped and gone to the powder coaters, plus a good engine degrease...

You seriously need something doing with the end of those fuel rails as, frankly, the way they are finished for the parallel conversion is downright dangerous!

I mean the fact they aren't swaged or anything. Very real risk of a big leak and at worst a fire.

Got a few bits back from the powder coaters today and very happy with it, complete transformation...

Fuel rails...

Plus painted the the injector caps wrinkle back to match the new reversed inlet...

Just awaiting the an-6 adaptors now to complete!

Finally got the facelift parts back from the paint shop.
Facelift bonnet and scoops on...

Facelift bumper, fog covers and front lip fitted...

Looking like a car again now...

Had the cleaning bug today, so out came my polisher, I need some smaller buff wheels as couldn't get in to the nooks and crannys but still looks better than it did...
Throttle body...

Turbo pipes and actuator...

Tried doing the heads too but these haven't turned out too well so will give them another go at some point...

Then a good wash and polish as she's been sat gather dust and bird poo for quite a while...

Excuse the drainpipe exhaust, it's going soon!
And a good clean inside too...

Looks really well that drew
Get a toothbrush and a tube of autosol for the throttle body or even some wire wool . that'll make a huge difference in getting 20 years worth of smeg off it.

Few more jobs done today, because I had to butcher the new facelift bumper so much to fit the front mount, I chopped to much plastic away to secure the fog light covers, so instead of bodging with a long screw I decided to knock up a set of aluminium brackets cut from 3mm bar, bent, drilled and then riv nutted ready to accept Alen key pro bolts for added security of the covers...

Worked a treat...

But need some longer pro bolts, so had to use normal bolts for now...
