1. cheap affordable track/fastroad orientated tyre
2. B rating for wet grip (better than a lot of high end brands)
3. grip levels the same as 888s and ado8s etc on track
4. 8mm of tread (888s are 4mm)
5. excellent wear rate
I have had mine on for nearly 2 years now , done 2 trackdays , 10k miles , roadtripped to Norway and back and they still have 3mm left lol . excellent in the wet , epic in the dry , the only downside is they are noisier than normal tyres but they are track tyres so cant complain. I sell hundreds of them and all my customers have given great feedback about them even hardened 888 and yoko track folk . what more do you want

Surely the additional 5% of sidewalk shouldn't make too much difference? It's an additional 10mm to the rolling radius by my calculations, the speedo will under-read a little bit though.

Anyone actually running 55 profiles on a classic?
I run 205/55 x 16's on the road - I like the additional compliance. I think 205/55 was the standard classic fitment in the US.
Have had Nokian zg2, Hankook V12 k110 (now replaced by k120) and currently Dunlop sport maxx r/t.
I know the NS2r's (wet B rated) start out with 8mm of tread depth, and are OK at shifting water at that depth. But I wouldn't compromise wet weather braking on a daily driver - the maxx r/t's are wet A rated - UNTIL I see them tested against other UHP road tyres.
I'm looking for tyres and never thought of going to 55 profiles.
My speedo is still in kmh and I use a gps speedo so the extra roll wouldn't bother me. Great price for what people are saying are a great tyre.
I have held off fitting them for a couple more weeks because
A. There is still some good tread left on the one's I have on and I'm a tight Yorkshireman who wants to squeeze the last bit of rubber out of em lol
B. As they're semi slicks I'm kind of hoping for the weather to pick up to get the best out of them.(Warmer conditions). They do have a wet rating of B so hoping they're good in the wet
Scooby Stevo has just fitted the same tyres and he says they are great! Check his RA thread out.

I'd suggest they obtained a B wet rating, which is 3-6 metres (best A to worst B) longer stopping distance, than an A rating, due to a good friction rating - they are, after all, soft 120/180, not from clever tread pattern.
I want to be proved wrong though.
