Giving as good as you get eh Ian

As I'm running without skirts (I know some of you will frown upon this, especially on a newage, but trust me it'll work on this car ) I spent a little while cutting a load of little discs

To fill in all the holes (32 in total on the skirts and hockey sticks) These were attacked with a wire brush to remove the paint

The little discs were held in place with my trusty magnet

and tacked on

Ground back, filled and sanded

And a quick dusting of etch primer!

Also mocked up my replacement P/S front wing courtesy of A.S.B breakers (original had been damaged at some point and was full of filler!) This too will have the marker and repeater holes smoothed as per the d/s

More than likely standard WRX running gear and engine. I'm not after big power in this car, more form over function if you like - I have my STi to go quick in (when its fixed!! )

Loom was incinerated in the 'bay

It'd be pointless going STi engine route as I couldn't justify the difference in cost for buying the parts! WRX stuff is relatively cheap in comparison so thats what its getting!! My STi will be the one that gets any performance upgrades

Another fairly productive day yesterday

Bootlid got attacked with the welder and filler

The washer jet holes got deleted from the bonnet. Had to bond blanks in place with it being alloy!!

p/s repeater gone

and the wing marker and a few of the skirt holes too

I also started weighing up intercooler options as I don't want to cut the bumper for one. I'm deleting the air con so I have just enough room between the rad and bumper to squeeze it in with a bit of jiggery pokery!

Cheers fella

Either wiper mounted or scuttle/underside of bonnet, undecided atm!

Probably a twin pass with slight repositioning of the rad to allow both inlet and outlet past.

Cheers Ian

I went on the scuttle on my classic too (Vauxhall mist jets!) but the water hit the wiper arms mid sweep - it was enough to annoy me so this time I need to get them as high as I can without them being on show.........

Cheers Hoping this one will turn out better!

Not doing the prodrive bumper (I already have a whole car ) but this one will be modded somewhat as will the rear bumper

Shame you're so far away, I'd have had the Inlet and TGVs from you and its also a shame you only have two of the Rota alloys as if it was a set of 4 I'd have had them too

You going to NBO

Rear arch was a bit squished (previous-previous owner) so after a bit of panel beating and fettling its back to its original shape

Rolled the arch whilst I was at it

Also finished filling the holes on the sill on the passenger side

Started on the laborious task of scotch padding the paintwork ready for primer.......

You need to come down and do some bits for me - I know you're desperate to see my car

Can't wait to see the paint starting to layer up on yours

Did a bit in the engine bay yesterday. Smoothing a few bits and relocating others but nothing too adventurous!!

Made a few plates to bung up a few unused holes in the bay.

Battery tray and washer bottle brackets removed.

All holes welded up (including the hole for the ABS wiring and the aircon pipework) and filled!!

Sanded back and primed

More soon

Cheers chaps, easy to do when theres no engine fitted

Like I said not gonna go mad, just move a few of the larger items to make the bay look a little less cluttered.
