Project Bugeye
Well I haven't had a Scooby project for a while so time for a new one.
If you don't know me heres a bit of background info - my first car was a Turbo 2000 that looked like this
I decided to make it unique so it looked like this when I'd finished!
Build thread can be found HERE
I sold that in 2012 and have been wanting another Impreza ever since.
I went out this January and bought this
I want to keep this standard so no project here, just use, maintain and enjoy.
Onto the project car.
There was an 03 plate WRX I passed everyday that was just stood up. Turns out my mate knows the owner so after a few text messages etc a deal was struck and I bought the car!! The owner even trailered it to mine FOC
Plans are low and wide rimmed with a 'less is more' attitude to the styling with some subtle mods similar to my classic!! This, like my classic build, will not be a big budget build and where I can mods will be done by myself.
The car - she's had a small engine fire and has no engine or gearbox but other than that she's complete - so she's a perfect project for me! Sat on 19" alloys (not staying) and coil overs too, bonus!!
So home she went and into the garage
She looks a little sorry for herself atm!!
First job was to strip the front to remove the toasted parts!!
Oh and de-spoliered
Which brings me up to where I am now.
More soon!!

Few little fiddly jobs done today.
Bonnet off and bay cleaned up a bit
Wings and bumper re-fitted ready for realigning the new bonnet
Few snapped bolts drilled out and re-tapped
Skirts and unnecessary trim removed!
All badges and plastic clips from spoiler mount removed!

£24!! Is that all?
How in the Blu hell did you manage that? Obviously I know where you'd been.
Give me a link, in case they have any GC8 stuff. PM it though, I know what the SN vultures are like.

Removed the rest of the interior/dash etc and was left with this mess!!
Which ended up on the floor
Fortunately the loom joins on the D/S B pillar so only have to replace the front half of the loom!!
Much tidier
Even the cat came for a nose!
Most of the external trim is removed too!
