Also fitted the down pipe today, not too loud, so I'm looking for a back box, the prodrive box is too quiet.

Made another trip over to see Brian at cams lol,

I'd been pondering this purchase since I left there yesterday,

Well here it is

Miltek back box

Looks in a bit of a sorry state,

So a clean with neat wheel acid, brush and various scotches and trizact, along with a quick machine polish gave me this

Sadly I lost the etched logo on the tail pipe but still kept the build plate

Hoping it sounds good

Great job, I've heard the milltek as a full system before and they do sound very civilized

Dont underestimate that prodrive back box, especially with no sound proofing and a decat down pipe, after 4k rpm it gets quite loud, do the remap with her on and if its not loud enough for you Jake, change to the miltek, but you may be quite surpised

I got an 05 spec c ra with the cat back miltek exhaust pack offered by power station on import when new. It was remapped with the miltek and everything else is standard. It made 320bhp/308lbft. I am very interested to see what you get on the remap......... Could you post this with copy of the graph?

It's being live mapped on the road, so now graph available. Tbh I'm not a number chased I prefer to know I have a safe map that drives well rather than I have an xxx bhp car. I'm a fan of torque haha.

If it helps though Tony the previous owner said it rr at 312 bhp last time he had it checked.

Pretty much like myself, torque is king! Only have the graph with mine as it had to be remapped as was left on the running in map by mistake for first 5 years lol. They probably sold up thinking it was slow!! When you say tony, would that be tony burns off of here?? If the one I bought had turned out to be a duff that was next on my list. Clean nice car, fair play!!

Cheers, a few people recommended it,

Plan tomorrow is get in work early and fit the fuel pump, try and sort the heat shield rattle, then when the electronics genius next door gets in have him test my Defi gauges with the new controller, praying they work

Then I'm off to see tony after work to pick up some more service history and a 3port boost solenoid,

Jake

Looks amazing,I'm wondering if the heat shield rattle is a reasonably common problem, mines doing the same which is on my list of things to do

App so, the welds break and they rattle, problem is that you have to really remove the pipe to take the shield off, some say you can do it on the car but it's a pig of a job, apparently though you can bend and retack them too. Will seen in an hour lol

Lovely car and I like what your doing with it not taking it too far from what it is.

If you want don't want to hear any rattles you should try this...

Ha, it does rattle the parcel shelf area but I am going to sound proof that and secure the wires so they don't move. but in general it is awesome and doesn't rattle anything else Sure it can blow your brains out and go 'boom' lol but I usually have it set low so its just good quality sound backed up with a good amount of bass.

Wish I was better at cleaning my car Its just so depressing when its dirty the next day after doing it

Bloody hell that underside is amazing. Did you just get rid of all the rust your could with everything still on the car and just use a paint brush to paint it all?

It had been previously done, so no real rust showing.

I wire brushed any loose off and then applied it with a stone chip gun,

I like my audio myself, but not in this car.

Ah I see. That makes it easier
Yes me too I can't stand bad quality music. I've got an amp and sub in my room as well haha.
I agree, it would be better in a different car like a normal everyday car but I am only 21 so can't afford an sti and another car yet... soon though after I finish my apprentership
