Running the dual coil in my Kanger Subtank at 26w

Triphammer.co.uk juices Fizzy Trifle is my go to with Key lime pie as well.

Excellent quality juices 70/30 VG/PG 6mg

Love the Kanger Subtank, takes me minutes to clean and re-wick the dual coil deck and gives a lovely smooth vape.

My Other vape for mouth to lung is the Naturvape Mini Pro. Fantastic quality vape for starters.

Nice Galifrey, i didnt realise but you can also rebuild the OCC heads in the subtank mini if you want to, although its a bit more of pain compared to the RBA heads, as you have to centre the coil with a rod or something.

I am not sure if it would require a license or not to sell tbh, but no,i would not bother.

When/If the time comes,pm me,i will link what you need and where from to save money. Of course you need to decide flavours, can help with how to mix and links to a calculator. It was daunting for me at 1st with PG AG VG .......kind of and no real interest. I like simple user friendly kind of vape, not laboratory and counting 1000s of drips from bottles!!

As with anything, once you know its 2nd nature and literally can make 100ml of fluid quicker than going through shop door and paying for it.....

More than happy to send some bubble gum of mine to you to try. I have cherry too,but bubble gum is my fav,not sickly, flavour lasts unlike some(tends to loose flavour over time, maybe used to it,maybe the quality.........dont know).

Just shout and will help with the stuff, honest you will not look back

I know some people are sensitive to the PG in e juice worth trying a 100% VG maybe??

I still reckon you should try different juices from a different supplier, don't give it up just yet. I was sensitive to swapping over to vaping to begin with as well, i also had a brief period adjusting to sub-ohm vaping yesterday which has passed (so to speak ) now. Unfortunately there can be side effects for some people. You haven't gone back onto the **** have you?

What's the difference with the sub ohm? Benefits? Will my istick 20w cope?

Its in a different league imo, much more flavour, warmth, throat hit and tons more vapour, the only downside is they use juice a lot quicker. Plus of course you have a lot more scope on how much power you can put through them without spoiling the taste. I've found my sweet spot now with the iStick 30W which is around 13-14W. Ramp it up to 20-30W you get loads more warmth and throat hit, but that's a bit too much for me all the time.

Edited: No the iStick 20W is not suitable for sub ohm vaping.

A point to note, sub ohm vaping can be very dangerous due
to heavy strain on batteries.

If you are wanting to try it I would suggest you do a lot of
reading and join a decent forum and ask loads of questions.

Sub ohm also allows vapers to lower their nic level, for example your on 18mg nic,due to the extra hit, vapers tend to drop down to 11mg for example.

Cells wise yes,you require IMR or INR chemistry(not ICR=lithium)

IMR/INR is a more stable chemistry that can handle high current basically.

Example(rough one as not got ohms calc at hand ) If you have a sub ohm coil of 0.5 ohm, your using say 25w,this would be using around 9 Amps. Most decent 18650 ICR cells(panasonic to name one) can handle around 4A.

IMR can handle 10A to 35A and some 60A in short bursts,INR similar, take the 25r cell, this is made by Samsung and rated at 20A which is fine.

Issues happen when the sub ohm(cloud chasers) use 0.1ohm coils, run at say 50W or more, this is when mods require 2 or some 3x 18650 cells due to the high amp draw. Too add though, people who do this dont have nicotine in,its for clouds(yes in usa they have competitions)

So research the cells if need be,stay away from any cells that end in fire, like ultrafire crap from china, made up mah ratings of 5000 etc that dont exist. Max mah for an 18650 out now is 3600,most are 3400 pany cells. IMR tend to be less, usually 2500mah..........for now as LG and Samsung have some 10A rated 3500mah cells out in June..........i digress.

Advice for chargers the same, xtar and nitecore make good chargers that terminate at 4.2v. Cells,LG and Samsung, efest make good cells too.

As mentioned and spot on,its not unheard of PG intolerance, most bought fluids contain 70-80% PG and 20-30% VG.

PG= helps flavour and throat hit
VG=vape clouds(AG is diluted VG as VG has thicker viscosity)smooth vape too
So by using more % of VG or AG this helps people with intolerance.

So sub ohm mainly helps reduce nicotine levels(if user wants to) it helps give a better hit, more flavour and vape.

Well yea if you are making your own rebuildable low ohm deck with a high powered battery and not a proper mod box it could be risky. Most mod boxes these days have safety circuits built in to detect shorts and most have a burst rating and continuous rating.

Great advice, I just think its worth pointing out the potential dangers
involved with sub ohming.

Personally I am back vaping and use a mini dripper, single coil on
a basic ego battery with 6mg juice cut 50/50 with VG and get great
taste and lovely clouds(enough to annoy the wife).

Indeed buddy, it is a bit of a faff though compared to the RBA, but the reward is the OCC has better airflow than the RBA.

More important than a proper Box Mod is a decent battery. You can sub ohm with a mech mod no problem if it has a decent battery.

Battery wise,i use these mainly, have a good few of each spare and on rotation

Just as important to have a good charger too or two(well in my case about 5)

I can't see the point in batteries and chargers when you can buy a box with built in safety that plugs in via USB. If you're already invested then fine, otherwise avoid.

All depends on what box, many points the other way tbh. For 1,its user serviceable, change cell when tired and swap for another. Built in=plugged in to passive charge.........not always convenient. Next, most built in batteries are not the best, most are not rated high. Cells improve in capacity, you can upgrade when these cells come out if user wants. Built in is ok for some users who may want that, can understand,i have one thats built in. Having a mod that you can charge in unit and swap out the cells has many advantages .

Also most of the built in are not the best, some ok,others crap. Again dependent on what the vaper wants/needs out of their equipment. Admittedly i use my chargers and cells for other devices away from vaping.

To add,no built in box mod is 100% safe, anything can fail, less chance with decent branded cells and charger(which are not expensive anyway) but actual dedicated for the job.

Most built in mods have short warranties, some 28days,after that its throw away..........

Regardless of built in or dedicated charger, neither should be left untended or on over night. Also its good practice to replace cells after around a years use . For £8 or so for a good IMR cell, its not much a price to save your face.......literally. The power in these cells will convert a metal ecig mod into a pipe bomb.

Cheers ven

Yea it does sound like you had an intolerance GH. Hope the VG works out for you. If not it might be the VG, some people are allergic to that as well, although that's rarer.

[QUOTE=bioforger;11639861]Oh my fecking god! I was expecting good things, but the Subtank Mini combined with Strawberryfields juice is nothing short of sensational! Like you Jack it’s maybe too overwhelming with the 0.5ohm head. Masses of vapour and a deep warm taste at anywhere from 10-20W

Sorry if the following is a bit boring/seen before for the seasoned/pro vapers in this thread, but it may be of some interest to some of the newbies like me. Here's some pics/info of the stuff I've bought over the last couple of days;

The new kit and Strawberryfield juices,

Mini review of the stawberryfields juices; i bought the strawberry, peach and northern monkey juice (banana mix) in a 50/50 PG VG mix @ 18mg to sample.

I've been vaping these juices for the last few days, fantastic juices for flavour, but and its a big but they are all way too sweet for me and leave a very sweet aftertaste, for that reason i probably won't be buying them again. If you have a mega sweet tooth they are perfect.

The northern monkey juice (banana mix) is probably my favourite, with the strawberry 2nd, peach 3rd, this one is the sweetest of the 3 and overpowers any taste of peach imo. They are also slightly too strong maybe because i'm new to sub ohm vaping these juices so will try with a 1.2ohm head as well at some point.

Also I definitely need to drop my nic levels now with the sub ohm head, if i stick with it. Any juice is pretty strong even at relatively low wattage. And I need to try sub ohming the TW juices i'm already familiar with.
