Jack, your gonna like this. The Emow Mega and Ipow2 arrived first thing this morning from Myepack, that's amazing really as i only ordered it mid afternoon yesterday. The Emow Mega fits the new Ipow 2 battery like a glove, its seamless as though it was made for it. They were out of black tanks so i ordered a silver.

That's not an AeroTank Mega that's why. That's exactly the set up I recommended pages back.

Aerotank Mega

EMOW or Aerotank MOW

Edited it, yeh its the Emow Mega. Their are so many variations from Kanger it can get confusing

http://myepack.co.uk/kanger-emow-mega-clearomiser.html

Anyway, it fits the Ipow 2 battery like a glove.

Yeah, it's a perfect size and the EMOW mega holds a bit more juice than my EMOW.

More details of the new MVP20 battery have been released, looks exactly the same, same capacity just 20w instead of 11w, I only ever go up to 8.5w anyhow so will get an Ipow instead.

ah that Ipow2 is nice, so it doesn't need a beauty ring? On the myepack site the pic show it with a thread at the top, which suggests it does need a beauty ring?

Ego connection is threaded on the outside with a 510 on the inside.

These are Ego adaptors that you'd use if your device had a 510 connector, for some reason they still have a 510 thread inside.

Just a quick few comments on the Kanger Ipow 2 battery and the Kanger Emow Mega tank for anyone whose thinking of buying either, feedback is always good to have.

I'll start with the battery, the build quality on this is more than impressive, it feels more expensive in build quality than a £19.99 battery. Ive used it for about 12 hours now, the battery indicator has approx one third left. I can't fault the battery at all, the adjustability is very easy, the LED screen is a perfect size and gives you all the info you need. Just one minor thing if i was being very picky, the fire button could do with being slightly more raised, sometimes you find yourself feeling around for it because they have gone for a flush look.

The Emow Mega Tank, again the build quality on this is impressive, it feels like a solid piece of quality engineering. The hit you get from the tank with the included atomiser is fantastic, far superior to anything ive used before. I can't fault how it performs or looks along with the build quality, i have one slight niggle. You fill the tank from the top where the atomiser is, you basically unscrew that section leaving the tank with the tube down the middle. They didn't make the middle tube long enough as this really restricts you from filling it to the top, you can only go so far otherwise the fluid will spill over the top and down the inhale tube which you don't want.

When you have filled it and screwed it back together, then turn it upside down to take a drag the fluid level drops to only half full in the clear side window, you basically can't fill it any higher than that. The window on the side could have done with being longer as once the fluid drops below the bottom of the window you can't see how much fluid you have left, it must be a reasonable amount as it doesn't take that long to drop below the window level from filling it up.

The build quality on both looks to be impressive along with the performance and the hit, ive only had it a day so i'll have a better idea over a longer period of time and finding out how long the battery and atomisers will last.

I'm averaging 10 days per coil, could stretch them out to 14 days no bother, but I love a new coil and they're not expensive.

Really pleased the battery is good, next purchase.

What's the lifespan on this type of battery like the Ipow 2 ? You'll be more than impressed with it, you can really tell the difference on the hit by taking the watts up and down and tinkering with the air adjustment.

Hard to say but my MVP is ten months old and isn't noticibly worse, yours should be similar.

You're not changng ohms, that's the resistance of the coil, you can change volts and watts, watts is better as it adjusts the volts depending on the ohms, giving you a consistent experience. Basically, if you have a choice, use watts.

I couldn't get my 1st coil to last very long at all, only 5 days. The 2nd coil was awesome on day1 but already i seem to have lost some taste on day 2, although its still good. My voltage is set at about 4.2V, maybe i'm vaping too much. I usually hold the button for 2-3secs on each vape, that seems to be best. But i was really hoping the coils would last a bit longer than this!

That was a typo ... I was reading up on atomisers trying to work out what the best Ohm coil is to get, i guess its trial and error. The one that comes with it says 1.9 on the battery screen, i ordered some 1.5 Ohm ones when i bought the tank from MyEpack so i'll see how they go. Like you say the good thing is you can experiment with the watts anyway regardless of the coil, obviously a lower one will give a better burn but may effect the flavour a little due to it burning higher.

I'm similar to you, 2 - 3 secs per vape normally. I guess its trial and error especially when you get a new e-cig thats adjustable.

The e-cig fluid above, i bought that amount because it was on offer, they had a 20% off code this month plus all customers got a £5 credit on their account as a xmas gift. I usually buy in bulk when its on offer as your going to use it in the long run anyway.

Crank it up every now and then, find the limit, burning hot will help keep it clean. Look up dry burning, obviously you don't want to inhale much in the way of dry hits as this is where the bad stuff lives

This is worth a read http://www.kickcigsnow.com/batteries.../apv/vv-vs-vw/

Dry burning isn't a good idea with the new dual coils from what i've read, they can get too hot and can break or short out. I've used a slightly different method today, which works well.

Take out the coil, rinse with hot water, blow out the excess water, reattach then apply air through the airflow adjuster whilst "dry" burning. This seems to really clear out the crap and gunk nicely but keeps air flowing over the coil as you burn, which should help keep the temps down a bit.

Trying out some of the new Kanger coils, ive gone for the 1.6 ohm and using it with 7 watts. Its a really smooth vape, nice flavour comes through. I guess its a lot of trial and error until you find a certain strength coil you like with the right wattage.

After my 1st charge with the Ipow 2 its now getting around 12 hours from a full charge, i'd say i'm around a medium user, maybe a fraction higher but i'm not a heavy vaper.

1.6ohm? where are you getting those. I've been using the 1.8ohm ones, with varying success so far.

They are actually 1.5 ohm, that's what it says on the box, on my Ipow 2 battery its saying it's 1.6 ohm in the LED panel.

Enjoying them so far, maybe the flavour is better because i dropped the wattage down to 7 watts so it doesn't burn as much, still getting a good hit though.

So with all this talk of posh vaporisers, I'm tempted.

Is this a good kit to start with?

I have completely stopped using my ecig now. Since I quit smoking
about 6 months ago I have had 2 roll ups and each time I had one
I had it just to confirm to myself how rank they actually tasted and
I was right.

Has anyone tried a dripper, I finished with a dripper and making
my own coils and using cotton wool. It gave great taste and super
big clouds.

Well mine is fooked already, started getting no taste at all, changed coil which made no difference. The tank is leaking, noticed it this morning when it had been left on its side for a bit, juice leaking through the airholes, the coil is tight, awaiting replacement.
