How is the sub tank jack I like the look of them.
Totally agree. Sub tank is excellent so far, really nice build quality, the .5 ohm coil in there right now might be a bit much for me, not sure I want to get used to it and just ordered 250ml of 12mg Nic juice so won't be dropping any time soon.

Jack, as you know you can put the regular kanger EMOW tanks onto the iStick, with say the usual 1.8ohm coil in it, but as the iStick is a lot more powerful than the IMOW batts are there any safety margins built in to protect the coil? Or doesn't it matter, and ok just to whack up the V/Watts as you see fit? Obviously it will just taste burnt if you go too far, but i'm just wondering if something bad would happen if you put 20-30W through it. I guess you just wind down the iStick to where the IMOW batts are best suited, so around the 8W mark?

Yup, 8.5 is my favourite. I'll run 30 watts through a 1.8 coil tomorrow, let you know how it goes, if I haven't posted by 11am get in touch with International Rescue.

The I stick will only go up and down so far depending on the coil you use. The 20w does anyway. Mine goes to 15.9 watts with my aspire coils, but my 1.8 reads 1.9...

Vape mail FTW! This iStick 30W mod rocks, really nice piece of kit.

Much smaller handprint than the Kanger IMOW2 battery,
Nice tactile firing button,
Slightly heavier,
Great display (which you can rotate depending on whether you are left or right handed)

I've only used it with my EMOW mega tank so far at 8.5W and its a similar vape but smoother and theres a bit more taste, the mega tank sits well even though its a bit small for it. As Jack did i tried 20-30W through it and it just tastes burnt but loads of vapour as you would expect, but still works fine.

The Kanger subtank mini wow, for the price this is awesome, again much better quality than the EMOW tanks, the OCC heads are better made. The RBA head is something to play with later. Pics to come

Love this thread, healthy smoking through sound engineering Its not knowing what's in the Juice that bothers me. I cant imagine that the Chinese suppliers are too fussy about what goes into the flavours they manufacture and send over. Are there any regulations where there contents of the fluids have to be declared?

Don't buy Chinese juice Most of the flavourings are from one or two companies but you're right to be slightly worried, they are tested for cooking not vaping.. which is kind of cooking but not quite the same.

Well i do know exactly whats in the e-juice and all of the ones i buy are produced and supplied in the UK. There really isn't anything harmful in them at all apart from the nicotine and harmful isn't the right word, addictive is obviously more accurate. E-juice mostly contains propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine (PG/VG) its the stuff you find in all the food you eat They are additives. And nicotine is really only harmful in large doses. Nor do you get any of the other 4000 odd nasty chemicals found in ****.

No regulation that i'm aware of as yet, but it will come eventually so the govs can take their cut, its inevitable

Actually the Chinese have pretty decent manufacturing now and very strict quality control.

Copy n paste,
In the US, manufacturers must adhere to guidelines by the FDA, though there are no other required certification processes to be obtained for production and distribution of e-liquid...... yet

What flavourings are in the juice you're vaping now and at what percentage? Not so easy to answer.

Yea true but as you know its contained within the PG and/or VG, so is it really something to be worried about? not for me.

Compared to smoking no, but if it wasn't a replacement for something much worse there is cause for at least some concern.

Yep agreed, I guess my only concern is if there are any long term effects as its a bit of an unknown quantity, vaping scene has only been around since when, 2006?

True, common sense tells you that inhaling vapour is much better than smoke, but we might wake up with two heads one day.

How do the sub tanks compare to the nautilus mini? I've been considering something else but don't want to make my own coils yet.

Yes I am sure the US suppliers will be kept in check knowing their litigation culture they will be very careful about the safety of their products & the UK
much the same.I don't think I am so sure about the Chinese.If something goes wrong what recourse would you have?

Ven will know, you don't have to rebuild the head if you don't want to with the sub tank mini, its a hybrid tank so you can choose between using the rebuildable RBA head or the replaceable OCC heads as well.

Oh my fecking god! I was expecting good things, but the Subtank Mini combined with Strawberryfields juice is nothing short of sensational! Like you Jack it’s maybe too overwhelming with the 0.5ohm head. Masses of vapour and a deep warm taste at anywhere from 10-20W

Sorry if the following is a bit boring/seen before for the seasoned/pro vapers in this thread, but it may be of some interest to some of the newbies like me. Here's some pics/info of the stuff I've bought over the last couple of days;

The new kit and Strawberryfield juices,

Kanger IPOW2 battery (15W) with Kanger EMOW Mega Tank (2.8ml) versus iStick Eleaf 30W with EMOW Mega tank, size comparison;

iStick Eleaf 30W with EMOW Mega tank;

Kanger Subtank Mini comes in a gift box, you get the tank with a pre-installed OCC (Organic Cotton Coil) 0.5ohm head, a spare 1.2ohm OCC head, a rebuildable (RBA) head, Jap cotton, a spare Pyrex tube, manual, screwdriver, spare screws and O-rings!

The quality of the Subtank Mini is superb;

The RBA and OCC heads

And finally the iStick Eleaf 30W with the Subtank Mini (4.5ml);

You can interchange the mega tank's drip tip with the Subtank Mini as well, awesome

Never boring bioforger,cracking pics/gear and now you really will enjoy a vape. The subtank is a nice tank,atlantis aspire is also a good one . Handy to have a few mods and tanks to swap and change for a few reasons. Some of which are fall backs if something breaks,different flavours without the faffing of draining,just a simple swap.

I am quite liking this delta 2 tank,another worthy addition for anyone who can sub ohm on their mod.

Although i dont go too mad,it is a hobby in a way,new tanks,new mods,all keeps interest which is not a bad thing imo.

Its great to see other peeps set ups,also gives ideas and feed back to others who are unsure of a specific device/tank.

My advice though,get some spare coils in,amazon or UKecig type places(or your vape shop if stocked). Nothing worse than being on last coil and hoping order comes before coil goes pop. As we know it can be a day or a month............and anywhere in-between!

yes,thats the down side,but we know with performance,juice use gets increased

Do you make your own juice? If not seriously consider it,not just savings,but tweaking the juice to your taste.

Most bought juice is around 80% PG and 20% VG(AG is a diluted VG so its not as thick=easier to flow).

So more PG= flavour and throat hit
More VG or AG=Smoother and more vape clouds

50/50 is a good mix,smooth vape,nice flavour of which you make your % anyway.

I use 25% bubble gum flavour right now with a 60% AG and 40% PG. I buy 72mg nicotine as it goes further due to higher %.

I make 50ml a time x4 so have 2x100ml bottles. Of these i have 2x 30ml bottles i use to top my tanks,when low i top off with 100ml bottle and so forth........

If not sure, i am happy to advise,show a calculator that works it out for you etc,works out maybe £5 for 30ml but of high quality fluid,not cheap corner shop crap

Cheers ven

I doubt i could be bothered to make my own but thanks for the info, the cost savings are appealing though. Have you thought about selling yours, or maybe you already do?
