Scooby Shootout - Your support is needed
This years Scooby Shootout is proposed for 3rd October run by the Straightliners team at Elvington near York. I am sure many of you would have been to the event before or TOTB at the same venue. The guys are looking to get a minimum of 70 cars competing on the 1/4 mile strip to make it a goer. Cost will be circa £80 for the day for unlimited runs.
Over on 22b we have 10+ names down so far so please pop your names down if you would like to support this event. We really need to support these events if they are to continue in future years
Many thanks
Clive

Will do mate, will pop all the names across once we get some significant support. Hoping there are still a few Scoob drivers out there that want to see what there cars will do over the 1/4 with a day out with like minded people.
I would like to add this is not about winning chaps, just get out there and have some fun. If you have not done anything like it before then don't be put off, we are not all big scary people

I rarely wash mine, 'twas the only dirty rally-slag in the car park last weekend...
But I don't have the budget to replace the clutch, sadly...
My support will be as a spectator, as usual.

Unfortunately yes I do cos I cant afford to run the thing these days never mind throw a load of money at it for events like this...some of us arent that lucky. However I would still be interested in coming along to support such an event so thats was why I was asking.

I have now had confirmation from Trevor that this is definitely going ahead.
Cost is confirmed @ £70 which gets you access to the handling course also if you want to give that a bash.
Lets see if we can get a few more names to make this a top event.

Clive nice to see the price is lower that what was first quoted, for anybody watching this thread dont be scared give it a go I have done the last 3 scoobyshootouts and have really enjoyed the crack and banter the handling course is something else and with it been the final for the grudgement days that trev/straightliners have been running all year should be a good day I might add that the handling course isnt only scoobs it has classes for F/W R/W standard /modified /pro might even bring the old lard **** mondeo st out to play.
