4wd would certainly make the rear tyres last that wee bit longer.

Going to MB world on the 26th for the AMG experience courtesy of my wife
Wasn't aware of the holding the paddle though, cheers Ding

Great day out for a free attraction (unless your doing an experience). Small track but was impressed by the flying laps. Think we paid £15 for 15 mins in a C63 saloon - probably cost more in fuel lol. Assume they have updated their fleet with 5.5's now.

Was pretty sure I saw a CLA 63 go past me last week but looking on the MB site the AMG model is a 45. Certainly was a V8 so maybe it wasn't a CLA. MB model names confuse me.

Half day AMG experience is what I'm going for (£450). Three one hour sessions in an AMG car.

Will be interesting to hear how well they drift with an autobox and whether it is an artificially wetted surface. Lots of older big V8s that are potentially driftable but you want to be able to pull the handbrake in neutral to upset the rear. Most autoboxes wouldn't like then being put back into drive under load

Sorry to lower the tone

I already checked it out, its an artificially wetted surface for that kind of behaviour.
There's a separate handling track.

It's weird that MB don't really tell you about the left paddle hold, I came across it by chance on another forum.

Anyway, have you read about the new A45 AMG? It's confirmed to have 381 BHP with a 0-62 time of 4.2 secs, that's pretty damn impressive!!

Tried that left paddle last night

Its the noises this car makes, pops and bangs left right and centre - just makes me grin.

Had a wee play the other day when my wife was in the car.
She just looked at me and said "What age are you"
My reply - "about 14"

Amazingly fast cars in the dry and straight lines. A real handful in the wet!
I was in MB world on Wednesday, spent an hour in the E63.
I was impressed how it behaved in the wet on the track.

Spend an hour in the new C63 also - nice car, but a real artificial exhaust note.

Hi,
Just tried the paddle hold on my ML63 - and it kicks down two gears!
Cheers for the tip!
