Hi
I'm 3/4 of the way through fitting my new infinity REF6010CS component speakers. Can I use the speaker wires that are installed for the speakers and tweekers or do I need to use the crossover supplied.
Any help would be appreciated.

Used crossover as suggested - sounds amazing.
Many Thanks

Fitted these about 2 months ago to my 1998 Classic Wagon. What a change over standard! Best mod ever!!
Piece of cake to fit into a classic but you now ahve somehting newer.
Out of interest, what was your Magnex Exhaust like for cabin noise on motorways? Am looking at these right now.

The exhaust was fine mate.....I went for the centre resonated section due to me having a wagon. I was told that you got extra "boom" due to the cabin being open to the luggage area.
It sounded ok inside, and very nice outside! :):norty:

If you go for the deeper speaker (eg infinity 6010) you need to make a speaker holder out of 120mm MDF which takes a while. Also wiring the crossover for the speaker takes a while. It took me a total of 4-6 hrs I reckon - frustrating but worth it.
If you buy speakers which are not as deep it could be done quicker I guess.
Depends on 2 things
1. Are you patient
2. Are you good at DIY type stuff.
I have a pair of Subaru speaker cable connection converters if you are interested.

It took me about 3 hours to do the first speaker - you know, learning all about the car, cable routes, taking your time to (triple) check mounting depths, window clearances etc etc. The second one took 30 minutes, though must admit form other threads it sounds much easier to fit these in a classic than a newage.
martyrobertsdj - cheers for exhaust comment - first person to mention the resonator issue for wagons. Shot.
