Hi CEL, I have been running Avon ZZ3s for three or four months now on my sti ver.5. Very good grip in the dry and same again on wet tarmac. Can't fault them at the moment. Have done about 2500 miles on them. Sidewalls still OK and the rest of the tyre fine. Previous tyres were Bridgestone SO3, didn't like them at all !

i've had zz3's before and apart from high wear (soft compound tire so grip well) found them very good indeed

ZZ3 users - How do you rate them in terms of noise and harshness? I have Toyo's (225/40-18 on 03 STi with Prodrive springs) and find them harsh. On the PFF7 wheels (8" rim width) the sidewalls appear stretched and this perhaps is stiffening them up? They feel absolutely solid! I'm seriously thinking of changing them.
Where's the cheapest place for ZZ3's?

Soft compound? I had a set and could hardly wear them down! Even after about 5k miles they still had around 6mm of tread left.

Ultimate grip not as good as some other tyres, but sidewalls seemed nice and stiff so they felt much nicer in daily driving with nice crisp turn in.
