Engine Mod suggestions for an STi7
Since I'm a total novice when it comes to things under the hood, I thought I'd post for some advice....
I have an MY02 STi7. I have already done the following mods:
1) PPP (including ECU change not piggyback and uprated Fuel Pump)
2) ScoobySport Mid-section (not PPP with Silencer)
3) ScoobySport Back Box (not PPP)
4) Prodrive Springs + Geometry Setup
5) Prodrive Strut Braces
I have tried to keep my modifcations within boundaries so I maintain my warranty. I am more than happy with the handling and brakes.
Since I have another year left to run - what modifications would people recommend to maximise the engine package I already have without replacing parts that I've already bought?

MY02 STi's are, if you're going to give them a number, STi8's. It's better to simply call it an MY02 STi Type UK, as then there's none of this mix-up with folk using the "wrong" number.

Now then, calm down David!!
I was'nt ignoring you - I know you are the Master Tuner but I'm waiting until the warranty is up before I get your list of mods ordered!
Just as a follow-up - what's the difference between an Air Filter and an Induction kit. Is it worth doing both or are they just doing the same job?
Told you I was ignorant!

Induction kits are the cone shaped things, whereas replacement panel filters are a direct replacement for the paper element that's in the standard airbox.
There's no point fitting an induction kit at this stage, as, apart from anything else, it'll instantly lunch your warranty. No advantage to be gained either, unless you've already got the mods mentioned by David further up.

Great stuff - many thanks again for the info - especially in simple terms I can understand!
Will get the Panel Filter and perhaps a Dump Valve just for the entertainment!

So its either put the PPP gear back on or go for broke with Dave Wallis Suggestion!

Conrad
Ah yes but there's "bending" the rules whereby a dealer will turn a blind eye and then there's the David Wallis school book of "what rules?"
It's the "bending" suggestions I was looking for....

Easy then, replace the turbo with an IHI hybrid version that sits in the same position and looks identical to the original VF35. New Turbo (try Lateral Performace for saomething that'll do over 400 HP) and get the ECU ECUTEK'd by PAT so all looks standard. Leave the induction kit alone and just put the green filter in as was suggested earlier.
Have mulled over all the otions and have booked to do the following with those nice people at TSL
New ECUTEK with their tuned map upto 330+ BHP and 330+ Torque - needs an uprated fuel pump, straight through mid-section and better backbox than the Prodrive one so already sorted on that front.
Included a Green Filter (as recommended) and a Turbosmart Dump Valve for fits and giggles
Many thanks again for all the replies guys!!
