Anyone got any ownership experience or know anyone etc. to offer me some critique? I don't know diddley about these cars.

Cheers

Next Doors daughter works in service reception for Fiat- she told me to never even consider buying one whatever the cost!

Mind you the company I own represents 2 other Italian companies who manufacture OE line build product for Fiat!!

Fiats are ok, just avoid the dealers. And I really really do mean avoid the dealers at all costs!

Again - owned a few Fiats and they never let me down. Think they changed to the 1.2 16v engine on these go for that over the old 1.6 8v. Make sure you get the red key! Older Puntos had crap rear trailing arm bushes that used to give up at 55k you have to swap the arm - £80 a side from Fiat and a couple of hours to fit them (think they uprated them on r-s reg cars, replacements have the upgraded bushes). Look out for bubbling rust around the boot lock especially. Dealers are best avoided if possible they aint cheap. Wouldnt an MX-5 be a better option though?

As a cheapish run about think there ok but they are meant to have a real problem with leaking and noise at motorway speed.... not sure how expensive a after market roof is and if there any better than the original...How much can you pick them up for out of interest...?
