I think it's about 6 seconds to 60, & 155 top end The Brabus one's quicker though There's a 4-tailpipe Black Brabus bodykitted one near me. Looks & sounds quite reasonable

For a 2 tonne barge they are very quick but apparently all over the shop in the corners. They roll about and are way too over-engined for their humble underpinnings to cope. Good enough if you only do m'way miles but if that's the case, get an E55 AMG instead.
The performance 4wd of choice is off course the Porsche Cayenne Turbo if you can put up with the "P Diddy" image:
4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine
331 kW (450 bhp)
620 Nm of torque from
2,250 - 4,750 rpm
Top speed: 266 km/h (165 mph)
0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.6 secs

I stand corrected
I don't think I'd get one though. Or a Cayenne turbo, as they're pretty horrible imo..
An old Overfinch on the other hand, I might think about, if I had the money.
Was there ever a G-wagon AMG? I always liked the shape of them.

I drove down to southern France last summer in a VX220.
Setting off from Calais there were shed loads of cars from blighty, mostly Audi's, Bentley's, Merc's, Cayenne's etc with large capacity engines.
I thought this a bit strange at first, but in hindsight I can see that they're extremely well suited to long motorway trips; huge fuel tanks, torquey engines, spacious and well specced.
If you can afford the petrol bills, I can see no better way of munching up whole continents...
While I was sweating my ***** off, they were lapping up the miles in luxury. I know that if I had the choice again I'd not be choosing the VX...
