Question

Before I start I want to say this is not for an Impreza so if you feel it is not relevant please transfer to another forum.

This morning my Girlfriend had a big Water board Transit van drive down the drivers side of her Fiat Punto. The door still shuts OK but it has made a mess of the rear quater panel (2 door model) and the door. I have taken it to a local body repairs place this morning just for an idea of what is involved and the guy said it needs a new rear quarter panel and door. He is working out a proper quote later but he thinks it will be between £1500 and £2000.

The car is a V reg 3 door Fiat Punto 60S (absolute base model) so firstly I was wondering if there is absolutely any chance of the insurance company writing it off?? Secondly I suspect the insurance company will want to repair it so can anybody recommend a good bodyshop around the Epsom area who could do the work. I seem to remember people recommending the place that Cheam Motors use so can anybody give me the name of this company??

Guess it could have been worse she could have been driving my car!

Can't remember the name, I think it was B&D Motors. They are based in Dorking, and did a very good job on my Terzo. Can't talk about the cost though, Privilege sorted that out.
