Would be more sensible to get the rest of the things done before mapped as it will save you getting a remap

SUBTYPER 07 January 2004, 19:25 Well here is some news that might appeal and also add interest. Have spoke to Steve today and we were talking about the electronic diff controllers Gems have that make the electronic diff act like an active diff. The normal price for this system is £495 but if purchased with the group buy and an ECU then Steve can do these for £400 fully fitted and mapped for dry road, wet road, Icy road and also still give u four positions to lock the diff yourself. If This diff controller is bought without ECU but included in group buy then he can do the diff controller again fully mapped and installed for £450.
Now to me that sounds like a cracking deal
CustomScoobyIOM 07 January 2004, 21:33 Will this fit my black SLK then?
Sorry! BTTT for you and see you at the next meet. Lovely car BTW!
SUBTYPER 08 January 2004, 00:06 Will find out about SLK mate and ask steve tomorrow if the can be mapped Which engine version is it and what year
STi Paul 08 January 2004, 13:30 Who put me on this list then???????????????

MISS SCOOBY STI 09 January 2004, 03:26 am thinking about it. when do u need to know by?
SUBTYPER 09 January 2004, 05:53 Just whenever we get the numbers togetehr to go ahead with it Miss scooby. Obviously the sooner the better. From what Steve was saying about the active diff. It sounds like a cracking piece of kit and can also link the center diff to the reverse switch so it doesnt clunk when on full lock.
bodystyling 09 January 2004, 14:22 put me down for the active diff. Ive alredy got the Gems Fitted by steve and its the dogs b--locks

SUBTYPER 10 January 2004, 22:28 HEy Dark evo r u interested in the group buy
BlackR 10 January 2004, 23:24 Can someone explain to me what the advantages of this are compared to a TEK3 remap? Apart from the anti-lag and launch control which aren't essential.
I belive the GEMS does not use the MAF sensor - what are the disadvantages to this? I'm sure there must be some reason the OEM ECU uses this and doesn't rely on the MAP sensor alone.
Does the GEMS support individual cylinder knock control?
