Cibies - Help
When you say you checked the bulbs, what do you mean? Have you actually seen the bulbs light up OFF the lights? You can't always see the filament has snapped when they go. Take one out, avoid touching the glass, and using a piece of wire to help, touch one terminal to battery positive, and the other to negative.
If it lights up, check the connectors: on some Cibies, they blue, and give poor connection. Clean them with emery.
Now check the fuse: it'll be somewhere near the relay which powers the driving lights, or even ON it.
Beg/buy/borrow/steal a circuit tester to check for feed to each lamp: the ones that look like screwdrivers with a wire on are quite good enough.
It defo IS NOT unknown for BOTH bulbs to go at once. Try tightening the springs on the bulbholders/connectors.
Get someone to put the lights on mainbeam, (you DO have them wired like that, don't you??), and listen for the relay to click. Relays can stick, or go open circuit.
No click, check feed TO relay from trigger, ( headlight main beam) when you put mains on. Is there power? if so, replace relay, if not, replace connection to mainbeam wire.

Ok, it appears to be the relay. Whats happened is, is my wisdom 
i had taken the covers off the bonnett vents in the summer, but because winter has come, i have fogot to put them back on, thus allowing water into, which has come into contact with the relay by the battery and gone bang !
Right so the next question is, where can i get another relay from ?
