Question

my pc is now not starting up straight away!!
it tells me to press F1 button to change something, above that it says that the CMOS?! Battery is low!!!!!?????

is there a battery in the PC that need changing?? i've had it nearly3 years now!

when i manage to get in to the standard Windows atart up page it tells me that it has changed the time on the clock to the BST? with is one hour on from the correct time and the date is already on the 5th May 1997??? which i then have to change all back.
this is happening every time i turn on now!!

if it needs a new battery for the clock/date in the PC,
where will it be?
are they easy to change, Myself?
what do they cost?
are they like a watch battery?

Thanks

Phil

Yep ther just like the big ol flat watch batteries and very easy to replace. It will be on the motherboard and only thing to really worry about is static so keep pc swithed of but pluged in and hold casing to earth yourself.
