Anyone imported any disks from the US? Recommend any good mail order sites? I seem to remember someone mentioning a US site that sent disks post free to the UK. Roughly what price is a US disk?

I'll second Dan A's recommendation for dvdboxoffice.

They are brilliant. Cheap as it's Canadian, plus free posting for anywhere in the world.

Put it this way. I got the Toy Story ultimate toy box 3 DVD box set last week for £38. AFAIK it's not in the shops here until 11th December and it'll cost £50. OK, so I did not save that much, but it's still a saving.

Rough price? depends on the disk really. Gone in 60 seconds seems to be about 23 dollars, which is about 16 quid (i think!). I'd say they're usually between 12 - 20 quid. Which aint bad.

As for customs, well I was worried as apparently you have to pay duty on items over £18, and the Toy story was over that, but it got through OK.

You can also get DVD Boxoffices site to show cost in Pounds so get a very good comparison, and yes i buy all my DVD from them ! Never had a problem with anything i have ordered from them !
