Default Classic tyre tread difference?

Is there any need to have the same tyre depth on a classic?is there any problems with having different tyre depths with the 4 wheel drive system?
Cheers

So if you have 7mm on the rear wheels and 3mm on the front that would not be good for the car?

Well I wouldn't.

Even the handbook recommends rotating tyres and swapping all four at once. I've even seen problems on here caused by using different makes front and rear, with ever-so-slightly different rolling radii.........

Your car, your choice.
