Default Brake upgrade

Hi guys, newbie to the jap scene been a dub fan since i can remember but thought id give a scooby a go, i was told by the old owner its running around 300bhp, any ideas on the best way forward to upgrade the brakes? Cheers

What year and model do you have , and your intended use , just road , and track days planned ?

I have a 97' sti and hoping to use it mainly for road use with the odd trackday/ 1/4 mile (all depends on if it stops breaking down)

std STi has 4pot front and a sliding rear as std, STi RA adds the better 2pots to the rear

first step is better pads to cope with the extra temps generated on track but this largely depends on budget & driving style.......

also worth considering possibly a disc or even caliper upgrade
