Are you upgrading from 2-pots to 4-pots?

If so, the 4-pot caliper will bolt directly onto the same mounting (2 bolts). You should be able to keep the current brake hose and fixing.

In essense, all you need to do is:-
-unbolt the old caliper & suspend from suspension while you,
-swap discs,
-swap brake hose from old to new caliper (be prepared for spillage!),
-remove old caliper,
-bolt on new caliper,
-bleed brakes when both new calipers are fitted.

You may want to swap the stone gaurd for the larger discs, but this means taking the hub off, or cutting a hole in the new gaurd.

Shouldn't take any more than 1 1/2 hours.

Good luck!

Cool

Agree with all the above except the stone guard. I managed to get mine on with only minor swearing and certainly no dismantling of the hub! I swapped from 2 pots to 4 pots off a P1 (My Car UK MY98).

I would suggest swapping all the hoses to braided hoses at the same time as these improve feel and you are going to have to bleed the brakes anyway.

Finally check that your wheels will fit over the 4 pots. Some early Subaru 16" wheels won't (up to and including MY97 I think) and even some aftermarket 17" won't fit.

Also your space saver won't fit over them. I have just resigned myself to having to put the spacesaver on the rear and use the rear tyre if I get a front puncture.
