I know the caliper end will be different between the brembo and subaru 4pot but what about where hose connects in wheel arch end.

Think you might still need a 2-3mm shim for those.
I put those wheels on my 1st bug sti and needed a tiny bit of clearance.

I'll take note of this thanks. There's a few wheel shops near me so hopefully they can help with shims if need be

Wheels just fitted over the brembos, with about a 2mm gap, they look the nuts! Anyway i have braided hoses all round and brand new dot 5.1 ap racing brake fluid.picked it up from mechanic tonight as he fitted these today but now the pedal travels alot further and feels pretty soft, was alot firmer before on my subaru 4pots. Do you think it hasn't been bled properly or is the characteristics of the brembos (from a 03 sti) when fitted to 04reg wrx

The pads & discs were used by previous owner but only for about a month,so are nearly new but would say are old enough to be bedded in by now. Do you think its worth me getting another bottle of fluid and getting him to go over them again?

Yes all four brakes were done. Mechanic said they was fine when picked it up he had road tested it but he never drove it before he changed brakes,so wouldn't know how they felt before (alot firmer) I done a hard stop last night from about 45mph to a total stop and the car stopped well and was lovely and smooth with no shake, judder or drama from the abs,its just the pedal travel is further than before and if I stand on them it goes a bit spongy and travels further
