Default Classic Rear Brakes - Akebono or Sumitomo

I want to order some new discs and pads for the rear of my 1997 Turbo 2000 (Phase 1.5), but there seem to be two different shapes of pad available depending on if you have the Akebono or Sumitomo caliper. I'm assuming this difference comes down to solid or vented discs. My car has solid discs on the rear and I'm wondering if anyone car advise on which caliper type it has and/or which pad design I will need?

Thanks in advance!

Best thing to do is whip a pad off or look at it through the wheel

caliper pad shape has no bearing on vented or solid discs (thats simply a model & UK/JDM difference)

depending on the exact model age (not number plate) it will most likley be this later style

or the early cars use this one

Cheers. I'll double check before I order them in that case.

Turns out I need to earlier type. I didn't need to take the wheel off - it was obvious from the caliper shape, through the wheel. Thanks for all the help guys! :-)
