Default jdm sti aftermarket wheels

Hi there, I purchased a jdm sti hawkeye a few days ago. It has stage 3 handling mods and is sitting on stock alloys. I would like to change the wheels. I have found out that the stock wheels are +53 17x8.
I would like to know what et and j size I could go to before I have rubbing issues. I would like to stick to 17s. The ride height is just right at mo meaning it clears ramps etc with no issues but could be raised lowered to suit wheels.
Let me know your suggestions. Thankyou.
