Default Issues fitting braided hoses

Car has got d2 8 pot calipers and d2 equivalent coilovers and im struugling (well the mechanic) to get the hoses to fit without them bending too much on the body of the car when turning the wheel. I have spoken to Godpseed which have been fantastic not only with this issue. Anyone else have a remedy? I also suspect this is the reason the nsf hose snapped

Dan.

They should just fit if it's the right kit for your car did you get the safety spring covers with the braided hose kit?because as much as they are braided can be easily rubbed away,I have destroyed brake hoses by just having them rubbing against the underbody of my car over time, and it can be extremely dangerous.so make sure you have some fitted to your lines.SJ.

I assume so mate, ordered them from Scoobyworld and made sure they were right. The mechanic spoke to the chaps at Godpseed so hopefully will sort it.

I would check because I know it's not sold with every kit,and it's optional on certain kits comes as standard with AP brake kits.SJ.

They look like a coilover spring black and fit over the braided line for extra protection.SJ.

I spoke to the mechanic , and the pipe is tight between the strut fixing and inner wing fixing , as he said it has after market struts , the only thing I can think of is either the struts and drooping too much , or the bracket to fix the hose on the strut is in the wrong place
The old pipe they are replacing was the same

There is never anything straight forward with my car, seriously . I spoke to the supplier and they have never had an issue, the bracket on the body of the car will need adjusting to make them fit better, although its spot welded on aparantly.

What make struts are they ?

What about the other side of the car , if thats ok , measure where the bracket is and compere both sides , there's got to be a reason its like that , and for 2 hoses to be tight i'd say its not them

would be interesting to see if the other side is doing it , and if not is the bracket on the strut holding the pipe in a different place

I'm going to assume it will be the same, why wouldn't it be? Genuine question, not being a breast.

You can assume the pipes will be the same length , the struts will be exactly the same , and the brackets on the inner wing will be exactly the same , but obviously something is wrong for you to be having these issues , so until you get to the bottom of it I wouldn't assume anything

Not sure mate. It got sorted before and seems to be fine, brakes work . I had a rubbing noise from the drivers side too but put it down to the car etc, no more noise when turning right out of junctions etc. will keep an eye over the next couple of weeks and get them checked.

As far as i know he adjusted the bracket on the body and tested the movement of the pipe a number of times to make sure it was ok. Time will tell lol.

If that fixed it i'd say the bracket on the strut is wrong .

As long as its not tight with the suspension on full droop on a ramp , it will be ok back on its wheels , as the suspension compresses the pipe will become looser

Oddly he's just rang me. He didnt adjust the bracket on the body, think i just make stuff up. The lines did fit in the end but will need to get them checked in the next few weeks or so.
